ENNA Channel’s new series Extraordinary Attorney Woo garners rave reviews from viewers and for good reasons!
On top of the emerging praises, the heroine of the story portrayed by Park Eun Bin drives continuous admiration.
In the drama, Park Eun Bin takes on the role of Woo Young-woo, a genius lawyer with autism.
Challenging law cases, Young-woo uses her own unique perspective and intellect without being swept away by emotions or prejudices. The energizing humor also enhances the scenes and provides delightful laughter.
From the way she talks about whales with excitement like a child; the way she talks about his own peculiarities to people, to the way she is nervous and withdrawn in an unfamiliar environment, but confidently confronts the world; Young-woo gives a lingering impression to the viewers.
Consequently, Park Eun Bin and her superb rendition of Woo Young-woo led the actress on the top of drama performers in the recent Good Data ranking.
Notably, the actress was completely immersed in her character; from the tone of her voice to her hand and body gestures as well as her expressive eyes. Park Eun Bin’s acting did not go unnoticed as she’s receiving admiration for her effort.
Revealing her initial thoughts when she received the script, Park Eun Bin also shared how she approached the character with careful efforts.
“When I saw the script, I had no idea how I should act. Actually, I think it shouldn’t be a script that I have preconceived notions of first, and I was very cautious. I wondered if it would be ok to act. Rather than thinking that the answer I found is acting, I think it was the basic basis of knowing Yeong-woo’s sincerity first. Then I added that sincerity to my own sincerity to make viewers feel the heart of Young-woo.”
Park Eun Bin is the first to rule out imitation because she is afraid that she will implicitly remember a character or a real person who has ever been embodied in the media and take a wrong approach. That’s also because she does not want to instill a false perception.
“I was careful. I believed in the script because it was the result of the writer and director preparing for a long time so that everyone was not uncomfortable, and I studied it through research. It was done purely and lovingly.”
Manifesting that effort, Extraordinary Attorney Woo achieved a leap in viewership rating from its premiere episode to the second episode. According to Nielsen Korea, it recorded .948% and 1.805% from its first two episodes.
In addition, it ranked first in the TV hot topic drama category and is also gaining popularity on Netflix.
The 3rd episode of Extraordinary Attorney Woo will be broadcast on ENA channel at 9 PM, and will also be streamed through seezn and Netflix.
