An embargo on liquor is the newest period drama plot of KBS 2 TV’s forthcoming series.

Scheduled to air in the second half of the year, 꽃 피면 달 생각하고 When The Flowers Bloom I Think of The Moon (LT) continues KBS historical series parade this year.

When The Flowers Bloom I Think of The Moon tells the story of the growth of young people who share friendship while experiencing love and life. It is set in the background of the late Joseon dynasty when the severe prohibition of alcohol was mandated.

Producer Hwang In Hyuk, who is in charge of directing, is highly acclaimed by critics for his sensuous direction in Doctor Prisoner.

Threading on the fresh concept about the restriction on alcohol, the series will be drawn from the perspectives of a woman who makes a living through alcohol and an inspector who oversees the alcohol ban.

Nam-young and Kang Roo

Portraying Nam-young the supervisor of the private affairs department is Yoo Seung Ho. Nam-young settled in Hanyang for his life aspirations. A person of firm principles, he is bound to challenge his belief upon meeting Kang Roo.

Lee Hyeri suits up to the role of Kang Roo, an impoverished woman who makes liquor to pay off her debt. Unlike her cute appearance, she is a diligent person who works hard when it comes to money. As the family’s breadwinner, she supports her only hope, her brother.

Parading his acting depth in various genres, Yoo Seung Ho has recently appeared in dramas Memorist, My Strange Hero and I’m Not a Robot. His latest character will be his third leading role in a historical series after Warrior Baek Dong Soo and The Emperor: Owner of the Mask.

Meanwhile, Lee Hyeri has quite a busy year with My Roommate is a Gumiho set to air in May 2021 and her first historical series is confirmed in the second half of the season.
