Armed with righteousness and warmth, Jinyoung transforms as the only optimistic character in The Devil Judge.
Jinyoung will portray the character of Kim Ga On in tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama The Devil Judge. He is set to be the character that portrays hope in the dystopian setting in the drama.
The Devil Judge is fictionally set in a dystopian world located in Republic of Korea wherein justice is served through a live courtroom show and the whole nation is involved.
Fans are excited to see Jinyoung as the only representation of promise in the drama as it has a unique concept of a dystopian world.
Jinyoung finds his character Kim Ga On interesting and looks forward to it. In an interview, Jinyoung said, “It was fun to live as the only hopeful character in the dystopian setting of a broken world.”
Upon meeting his character, Jinyoung thought that Kim Ga On is “a character who is full of humility living in a difficult world.”
However, after living as Kim Ga On’s character, Jinyoung has come to realize that Ga On is a character that may actually be considered rich.
“I feel that people who are moved by the heart rather than material things are happier and more affluent.”
Jinyoung as Kim Ga On, the righteous and warm-hearted character
Kim Ga On (Park Jinyoung) is a character that lives a righteous life. Not only is he an upright person, but he is also a warm-hearted character. He brings warmth into the drama despite constantly suspecting the devil judge Kang Yo Han (Ji Sung). He is also a character expected to create tension as well as portray a variety of emotions.
Jinyoung is eager to delicately express Kim Ga On’s sensitivity and charm. He states that he believes that his character would become more attractive if he would concretely act on what he responds and feels to when he listens to others in detail.
Lastly, Jinyoung anticipates bringing a character that will “light a small spark in the viewers’ hearts.”
Jinyoung along with Ji Sung opens up a unique view on justice and law set in a dystopian world.
