MBC’s new weekend drama, Please Send The Fan Letter anticipates an endearing love story between a top star and a father who will do anything for his daughter.
The series came from the 2021 MBC Drama Script Competition where it won the Excellence Award. It was praised for portraying the show business world sensibly and refreshingly.
Please Send The Fan Letter will run in a romantic comedy tone about an actress who is facing the biggest crisis in her life and a man who has to protect her daughter’s fan spirit by replying to a fake fan letter.
Choi Sooyoung takes the role of Han Kang-hee, the top star who confronts the biggest predicament in her life because of a fan letter.
Meanwhile, Yoon Park plays the role of Bang Jeong-seok, a single father who raises her daughter with leukemia alone. He wants to grant the wishes of her daughter, who is persistently enduring difficult cancer treatment. He is a person brimming with warmth and optimism.
In the first teaser poster unveiled, the lead stars and child actress Shin Yeon-woo who portrays Yuna are introduced along with the overview of the story.
A beaming Yuna chases after Kang-hee with a fan letter while her father chases after her with a worried look. The poster evokes a possibility of a playful family. On the poster, the text: “Will you protect my fan heart?!” – represents Yuna’s heart.
It further adds anticipation for the story of these three people who will be entangled in an unexpected incident.
Subsequently, the second teaser poster hypes curiosity with a heart-warming romantic comedy ahead. Kang-hee and Jeong-seok don school uniforms. They sit side by side on a window sill in the warm sunlight in the school art warehouse.
Reminiscent of “first love” Jeong-seok looks fondly at Kang-hee while holding what looks like to be a love letter. Suggesting a history between them who meet years later, Please Send The Fan Letter looks forward to a romantic reunion between them.
Promising a warm healing for the viewers, the production team invites fans to watch the series.
