Disney+ new series introduces the characters that will decorate the highly anticipated story.
Headlined by Parasite star Song Kang Ho, and Byun Yo Han (Mr. Sunshine), Uncle Samsik is a societal drama set in 1960s Korea that follows an idealistic politician, and a mysterious political fixer called Uncle Samsik who operates in the shadows. Together the pair form an uneasy partnership to transform a struggling post-war Korea into a prosperous country where everyone can afford three meals a day.
The released group poster draws attention as Uncle Samsik, Kim San, and people from various walks of life are gathered side by side under the copy “Dreams, desires, and the name that brings success.”
A variety of characters including Uncle Samsik, elite youth Kim San (Byun Yo Han), Kang Seong-min (Lee Kyu Hyung), Joo Yeo-jin (Jin Ki Joo), Jeong Han-min (Seo Hyun Woo), Ahn Ki-cheol (Oh Seung Hoon), Ahn Yo-seop (Joo Jin Mo), Rachel Jeong (Tiffany Young) and Jang Doo-sik (Yoo Jae Myung).
Their gazes staring straight ahead are full of intensity. In addition, it creates interesting curiosity about how the drama will lead through the relationships that characters from various walks of life develop with Uncle Samsik. The cast members come together to raise expectations for the intense energy and expected superb acting ensemble.
Uncle Samsik which will run 16 episodes will be released on May 15th on Disney+.
