JTBC’s Reflection of You gave a quick glimpse into the story’s plot and the thoughts of the drama’s main leads through its drama presentation.
Directed by Im Hyun Wook and written by Yoo Bo Ra, Reflection of You tackles love, betrayal, corruption, and revenge.
Hee-Joo (Go Hyun Jung) had a hard time during her youthful days. Later on, life became gentle to her because she became a successful painter and essayist. Added to this, Hee-Joo has two children and is also married to a man who is a successor to a hospital.
Having all these things, Hee-Joo still feels that she’s wasting her time. One day, she met a poor woman whom she finds reflects herself but still shines.
Highlights of the Production Presentation
During the presentation, director Im summarized the quick plot of the story.
“This drama is a story of two women. It’s a story about two people who were initially resonating each other, but gradually turning into bad relationships” said director Im.
Moreover, he suggested that the audience should wait until the last page of the drama because it would be full of plot twists.
“There are a lot of twists and turns that our drama should be viewed in the main room. Don’t let go of your nerves until the last page.”
In terms of casting actors, director Im admitted that creating the character of Hee-Joo is quite difficult because she is a complex one with a lot of inner stories.
He also talked about the character of Shin Hyun Been and told everyone that she is also one of their first picks.
“Shin Hyun Been was filming other works at the time. However, like Go Hyun Jung, she was also our first choice, so I suggested it. So I was so glad that she accepted it.”
Moreover, the two actresses expressed their deep affection for each other.
“Before shooting, I met with my seniors quite a lot to talk, eat and get closer to each other.” So many scenes were not easy, but I enjoyed them so much. I was really happy because you were so funny and playful,” said Shin Hyun Been about Go Hyun Jung.
She also expressed that sometimes she was exhausted because she’s also filming another drama, but her senior helped and cheered her up.
In return, Go Hyun Jung affirmed that her junior has great acting skills and she’s glad that she was able to meet this kind of actor.
“I liked the unique atmosphere and impression that Hyun-been has. She’s an actor of great basic skills. Since this drama is a story of two women, it was really good to meet a great actress.”
Go and Shin invites everyone to watch Reflection of You because it would give a new tingling sensation to the viewer’s mind.
“The point of watching our drama is that we have to watch it in the real world. Our drama is an ending restaurant. You have to visit the main room to enjoy the fun,” Go further added.
