The main poster unveiled by Revenant puts the main character possessed by a demon that digs into human desire, at the forefront.
A Korean occult mystery thriller, Revenant tells the story of Gu San-yeong, a woman born into poverty whose life goes from bad to worse when her father dies under mysterious circumstances.
Unable to explain why tragedy seems to follow her at every turn, Sanyeong begins to discover the truth behind her cursed existence after meeting Yeom Hae-sang, a man who can see the demons that hold sway over our lives. Together, the pair will work to uncover a demonic doorway and break the curse that has destroyed both of their families.
After receiving an object that is the only keepsake left by her father, she gets caught up in an unknown incident.
In the released poster, San-yeong is seen with an unfathomable face as if possessed by something. There’s dark energy emanating from her creating a gloomy vibe.
On the poster, it says: “I see myself who should not be seen.” It adds to the confusion as to whether the person she sees in front of her is San-young or a demon.
Expectations are high for Kim Tae Ri’s intense acting transformation, which expresses an image where fear and mystery coexist.
The production team further provides details on Kim’s character.
“The main poster embodies Gu San-yeong, who is the key figure in this work and the starting point of all stories, as an intuitive image. Notably, Kim Tae Ri who perfectly grasped the planning intention provided a method acting beyond imagination. She efficiently portrayed the existence of Gu San-yeong and the evil spirit at the same time. You will be able to see Kim Tae-ri’s excellent performance. Please look forward to it.”
