SBS new fusion sageuk unveiled an inviting video teaser introducing its main leads.
The video trailer definitely piques fans’ excitement to when the series will finally premiere.
Dubbed as fantasy-romance, it traverses the story of Hong Cheon Gi, the only female painter in Joseon era. It is based on the novel of Jung Eun Gweol who also penned novels The Moon Embracing the Sun and Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Both novels were adapted to well-loved Korean dramas.
The series is helmed by PD Jang Tae Yu of Deep Rooted Tree, My Love From The Star and Hyena fame. Writer Ha Eun will do the drama screenplay.
In the released video trailer, the four main leads were quickly highlighted stating their earnest wishes.

“There’s a face I want to paint,” says Hong Cheon Ki.
“There’s a sky I want to see,” says Ha-ram.
“There’s a name I want to write on my heart,” says Prince Anpyeong.
“There’s a destiny I want to steal,” says Prince Suyang.
The video ends with a line saying there’s only one destiny painted on the red sky.
Main Characters
Playing the titular role of Hong Chun Gi is Kim Yoo Jung. She is the first woman who entered Joseon’s commissioned government office for painting. She was born blind, but miraculously regains eyesight and lives as a painter.
Ahn Hyo Seop is confirmed to be the male lead playing the role of Ha-ram, a blind astrologer. He is expected to draw romance in the series with Hong Chun Gi.
Meanwhile, Gong Myung suits up to the role of Prince Anpyeong. He is free-spirited who likes poetry and calligraphy. A hopeless romantic who hides anguish and loneliness in his heart.
Lastly, Kwak Si Yang takes the role of Prince Suyang. He is a cruel and an ambitious prince who is obsessed to become the King.
