Kim Yo Han, Kim Young Dae, Cho Yi Hyun, and Hwang Boreumbyeol are all set to pilot KBS2’s upcoming youth series.
The new Wednesday-Thursday series, School 2021, once again continues the legacy of the network’s School franchise series. It will take on the baton from School 2017.
School has been representing KBS since the first airing of the series in 1999. “Achieving a myth of unbeaten box office,” the series once more showcases the realistic stories of students.

School 2021 is under Director Kim Min Tae (Cheat On Me If You Can, Witch’s Court), and writers Dong Hee Sun and Cho A Ra pen the screenplay.
The series threads on the lives of 18-year-old students going on a different route from the usual university entrance examination. Chasing dreams, forming friendships and embarking on a challenging journey, these teenagers stand on ambiguous grounds.
Meet The Vibrant Cast of School 2021
Starting the cast with a student-athlete, Kim Yo Han transforms into a taekwondo player.
Portraying as Gong Ki Jun, he lost his 11 years of pursuing taekwondo because of an injury. Emotionally, his injury also left a wound, making him wander and unsure of what to do next.
Kim Yo Han sets high expectations for his character after his intense charm in A Love So Beautiful. His known identity as a former Taekwondo player will surely be channeled to his latest role.
Adding secrets to the drama is Kim Young Dae as Jung Young Joo. The actor portrays a former student. His life entangles and creates brotherly chemistry with Gong Ki Jun.
Also, Kim Young Dae sets high expectations for his performance in The Penthouse 2, True Beauty, and Welcome to Waikiki 2.
Meanwhile, Cho Ji Hyun transforms into a student with firm dreams, Jin Ji Won.

Jin Ji Won strongly expresses her opinions, creating frequent conflicts with her mother. This rookie actress has appeared on various dramas such as; Hospital Playlist, The Guest, and her acting debut series, Sweet Revenge.
Finally completing the anticipated cast is Hwang Boreumbyeol. She’ll mesmerize the viewers as an intelligent student, Kang Seo Young. Her story follows how she prepares for the entrance exams at the top five universities in Korea.

School 2021 has been receiving attention and expectations. Viewers are anticipating how the series elevates its storytelling.
For the cast, the viewers are also hoping for them to execute their characters well. The previous seasons of School have starred top-tier actors such as Lee Dong Wook, Kim Rae Won, Jang Hyuk, Jo In Sung, Gong Yoo, Im Soo Jung, Bae Doona, and Ha Ji Won to name a few.
