The new Disney+ original series confirms its premiere on December 6 and drops an exciting teaser poster and trailer.
This fan-favorite series returns with a moving new storyline and cast in Soundtrack #2, exclusively on Disney+.
Set in modern-day Korea, Soundtrack #2 tells the story of Hyeonseo and Suho, two young sweethearts who break up after six years together. Torn apart by lies and misunderstanding, the pair go their separate ways only to be reconnected when Suho, a successful CEO, hires a piano tutor who turns out to be Hyeonseo.
What follows is a touching story of romantic rekindling that is sure to resonate with anyone who has experienced love, loss, and betrayal before.
Starring Geum Sae Rok (The Interest of Love, Youth of May, The Fiery Priest) as Hyeonseo, and Noh Sang Hyun (Pachinko, Behind Every Star, Curtain Call) as Suho, Soundtrack #2 will also see the return of Kim Hee-won (Soundtrack #1, Little Women, Vincenzo), the director behind the show’s hit first series.
In the released teaser poster, the lead stars sit at a bus stop decorated with romantic vibe introduces their characters. Noh Sang Hyun, who looks sophisticated in a suit, and Son Jung-hyuk, who has a fresh style and a shy expression, show off their contrasting charms. The two actors play the roles of successful CEO Ji Su-ho and handsome singer-songwriter K, respectively.
Here, Geum Sae Rok smiles brightly between them. Geum Sae Rok characterizes Do Hyeon-seo, a realist who finds neither love nor work easy. Peeking at Hyeon-seo’s feelings, the poster raises curiosity about her situation that is seemingly torn between her ex-boyfriend Su-ho, who suddenly appears in front of her one day, and Kei, a hot guy who goes straight ahead spontaneously.
The phrase “Where does my heart go?”, raises expectations about what kind of romantic story to unfold in Soundtrack #2.
The teaser trailer released together stimulates interest by depicting the unexpected meeting between Hyeonseo and Suho, who reunite after four years, along with lines such as “Did you sign up for this lesson?” and “Are you the piano teacher?” Next, the phrase “I ran into you who broke up with me” arouses curiosity about their story.
The appearance of a new variable, K, who appears in front of the ex-lovers adds fun to the story. K, a singer-songwriter with an excellent sense of music, shakes Hyeonseo’s heart and makes Su-ho nervous.
Hyeoseo is troubled by K’s words, “You don’t have any feelings for the CEO, right?” Here, Hyeonseo’s promise, “I really have to end it now to start over. I’ll start over from the beginning,” foreshadows a love triangle among the three.
