“Spring of Youth” Blossoms With Talented Lead Stars Ha Yoo Joon, Park Ji Hu and Lee Seung Hyub

SBS new series is gearing up to become the next big youth romance sensation featuring a story of passion, music, and self-discovery.

Spring of Youth (LT) is a coming-of-age drama follows Sa-gye, a K-pop superstar unexpectedly thrust into the chaos of college life after a career-altering incident.

Think the infectious energy of Lovely Runner meets the heartwarming romance of iconic youth drama You’re Beautiful, all wrapped up in a modern, youthful package.

Written by Kim Min-chul and directed by Kim Sung-yong, Spring of Youth tells the tale of Sa-gye, the lead vocalist of K-pop’s top band Four Seasons, who finds himself abruptly ousted from the group. He enters college life at Hanju University, a world entirely foreign to him, where he crosses paths with Kim Bom, ignites a fiery romance, and forms a mysterious band to reignite his musical journey.

Produced by Studio S, FNC Story, FNC Entertainment, and Monster Union, the drama is set to blend youth romance with vibrant musical storytelling.

Director Kim Sung Yong, known for his work on The Veil and My Dearest, brings his genre-bending expertise to craft a series that promises to captivate both the eyes and ears of viewers. The casting of Ha Yoo Joon, Park Ji Hu, and Lee Seung Hyub as Sa-gye, Kim Bom, and Seo Tae-yang, respectively, has already drawn significant attention.

Ha Yoo Joon, a member of the rookie band AxMxP set to debut in 2025, stars as Sa-gye, a superstar blessed with talent, charm, and an eternally optimistic attitude. Once the lead vocalist and guitarist of The Crown, Sa-gye’s life takes a dramatic turn after an unforeseen incident forces him to enroll in Hanju University. There, he encounters Kim Bom, played by Park Ji Hu, whose exceptional acting skills have shone in works like All of Us Are Dead and Little Women.

Kim Bom is a sharp-witted and resilient student in Hanju University’s Applied Music Department. A former Ivy League hopeful turned professional part-timer, she is the vocalist and keyboardist of a band, showcasing her genius in composition and boundless energy.

Meanwhile, Lee Seung Hyub, leader of N.Flying and accomplished actor, takes on the role of Seo Tae-yang, a legendary guitarist with a fiery passion for music. Tae-yang, the only son of a prominent medical family, defied his father’s expectations by leaving medical school to pursue his dreams, leading to a tense rivalry with Sa-gye.

The trio made their debut as the band from Spring of Youth during the 2024 SBS Drama Awards, delivering a live performance that captivated audiences with their powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence. Their performance ignited a buzz across social media, where fans praised the chemistry and talent of the cast, raising expectations for the drama’s release.
