Byeon Woo Seok transforms into a mysterious villain in Strong Girl Nam Soon!
Strong Girl Nam Soon broadens the worldview of the 2017 JTBC hit series Strong Girl Bong Soon. It is regarded as the first series to feature the first female superhero in a Korean drama.
The spinoff focuses on a drug crime story in Gangnam among Bong-soon’s relatives: cousin Nam-soon and her mother Geum-ju and grandmother Joong-gan.
In the drama, Kim Jung Eun portrays Geum-ju, a well-off mother who has lived a life burning with a sense of justice. She has obsessively done good things with a driven attitude to find her lost daughter.
Squid Game star and rising actress Lee Yoo Mi plays Nam-soon, Geum-ju’s daughter in the story. Seasoned actress Kim Hae Sook suits up as Nam-soon’s grandmother Gil Joong-gan. All of them have the super-strength ability passed on from their ancestors on the mother’s side.

Portraying Ryu Shi Oh, Byeon Woo Seok is a man of enormous power who will have an exciting confrontation with the superheroines in the story.
Ryu Shi Oh, the CEO of a distribution and sales company is a shrewd ambitious man. He is a person with nothing to be afraid of, as he possesses massive power that no one can tamper with. Expectations are high for the performance of Byeon Woo Seok, who has completely transformed into a villain with dark manly beauty.
Accordingly, the character stills released on this day attracts even more attention.
First, Ryu Shio’s dark charisma attracts attention. His aura is enigmatic and you can get a glimpse of his unexpected side through his sharp eyes and his unreadable poker face. His cool anger was also captured.

“I liked the works of writer Baek Mi-kyung and director Kim Jeong-sik, and I was attracted to the attractive villain Ryu Shi Oh. I was excited about playing my first villain role, but I was also afraid. I communicated with the director, worked diligently with confidence and went into filming.”

“He has a cool-headedness and toughness that does not choose any means for his own purposes. I found his multi-faceted side, which could be seen as duplicitous, to be attractive. I tried to express the gestures coldly. It was difficult to express the unusual situation and character naturally, but I paid attention to ensuring that viewers could accept Ryu Shi Oh.“
Meanwhile, JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama Strong Girl Nam Soon will premiere at 10:30 pm on Saturday, October 7.
