Song Hye Kyo’s The Glory keeps trending worldwide for its highly addicting and impeccable story and portrayal.

Released on December 30 last year, The Glory ranked 5th on Netflix’s World’s Most Viewed TV Show released on January 2. On January 3, Good Data Corporation also announced the series is the most buzzworthy OTT series online as reflected by news articles, VON (blog/community), videos, and social media posts.

K-Drama Review: “The Glory Part 1” Gratifies With Intoxicating and Ruminative Revenge-Driven Story

Accordingly, FlixPatrol, an OTT (online video service) ranking aggregation site, shared the series ranked in the top 10 in 71 regions as of the previous day.

It ranked first in 10 regions including Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia, and ranked second in Hong Kong and Japan.

While it showed its potential mainly in Asian countries, interest is growing in Western countries such as Canada (5th), the United States (6th), and Australia (7th).

Correspondingly, the online buzz is also increasing in proportion to the ranking of viewing time.

Immediately after its release, the drama rose to No. 1 in the ‘Integrated Ranking’ of the OTT integrated search platform Kinolights, and has maintained the top as of January 2. It also went straight to No. 1 in the popular drama rankings of Douban, a Chinese content review site.

Domestic and overseas are pouring favorable reviews for Song Hye Kyo‘s image transformation. Her portrayal of a cold-hearted character who seeks revenge against the perpetrators of school violence who bullied her during her school days is truly superb.

She draws attention as it is contrary to the way she has been focusing on the romance genre and capturing bright and lovable characters.

The Glory Part 1 streams on Netflix. Part 2 will be released in March 2023.
