Busy as a bee, Yoo In Soo secures new drama in JTBC’s new midweek series The Good Bad Mother.
Fresh from the highly-successful Alchemy of Souls, Management Gu, the actor’s agency affirmed the news and asked fans to look forward to it.
The Good Bad Mother narrates the story of a single mom who has been widowed at a young age, Young-soon (Ra Mi Ran) runs a pig farm and raises her son Kang-ho (Lee Do Hyun) by herself. She becomes a “bad mother” – hard on her son because she doesn’t want him to grow up penniless or powerless.
Thanks to her discipline, Kang-ho grows up to be a prominent prosecutor, but loses his memory due to an unfortunate accident and becomes a 7-year-old again. She then decides to become a “bad mother” again for Kang-ho in this comforting and touching comedy series that tracks the journey of recovery between mother and son.
In the drama, Yoo In Soo gears up to portray Bang Sam-sik. He is a troublemaker but he is a pure macho who has had a crush on only one woman since childhood.
Yoo has appeared in the dramas Strong Girl Bong Soon, My ID is Gangnam Beauty, At Eighteen and Stranger 2 to name a few. However, his breakthrough role in All of Us Are Dead put him in K-Dramaland’s mainstream presence. Subsequently, his portrayal in Alchemy of Souls Parts 1 and 2 also received generous raves from the viewers.
The Good Bad Mother will air in the first half of 2023.
