Ra Mi Ran, Lee Do Hyun, Ahn Eun Jin and Yoo In Soo evoke expressive emotions foretelling coexisting happiness and sadness to be featured in The Good Bad Mother.
The Good Bad Mother. follows the story of a single mom who has been widowed at a young age, Young-soon runs a pig farm, and raises her son Kang-ho by herself. She becomes a “bad mother” – hard on her son because she doesn’t want him to grow up penniless or powerless.
Thanks to her discipline, Kang-ho grows up to be a prominent prosecutor, but loses his memory due to an unfortunate accident and becomes a 7-year-old again. Young-soon decides to become a “bad mother” again for Kang-ho in this comforting and touching comedy series that tracks the journey of recovery between mother and son.
In charge of the production is Director Shim Na-yeon of Beyond Evil and At Eighteen fame. Penning the script is Writer Bae Se Young who worked on films Life is Beautiful, Extreme Job, and Intimate Strangers to name a few.

Ra Mi Ran as Young-soon
First in the character poster is Ra Mi Ran’s character, Young-soon. She is a bad mother who has lived tenaciously for her child.
The text on her poster says: “It’s all my fault. I raised you like this.” It leaves an impression on her story. Afraid to pass on the pain of poverty and ignorance to her son Kang-ho, she decided to become a bad mother.
Her tears filling the corners of her eyes exude self-reproach and remorse. The more pain she felt, the more bitter she becomes.
Lee Do Hyun as Kang-ho
Equipped with an unbothered appearance and cold, sharp eyes, Kang-ho is a cold-blooded prosecutor.
From the moment he was born, Kang-ho, who grew up under Young-soon’s thorough planning and management, harbors his own secrets and becomes a prosecutor, his mother’s long-cherished dream.
He hid his emotions with a poker face. On his poster, his secret is written: “I held it all back because it’s what mother likes“. It conveys his complex and subtle feelings toward her mother, Young-soon.
Ahn Eun Jin as Mi-joo
Kang-ho’s old friend and haven. They were born at the same time in Jouri Village and grew up together all their lives. They are like destiny to each other.
On Mi-joo’s poster, the support, trust, and sincerity of Mijoo with her sparkling eyes can be felt.
“I want to invest in you. I will help you,”. The story of their fateful reunion also draws attention.
Yoo In Soo as Sam-sik
Sam-sik is the representative troublemaker of Jouri Village and a genuine macho who only knows Mi-joo.
Often compared with Kang-ho who is of the same age as him, unlike his rough appearance, he is the owner of a pure soul.
In his poster, a serious expression with mischief in his eyes is seen.
He makes a bold confession: “If I ever steal something again in the future, it will be your heart” which exquisitely harmonizes with his playful attitude.
