Portrayed as a melodrama, it follows realistic romantic narratives among men and women with varying beliefs on how love is felt and nurtured. The story features four different bank employees working at the Yeongpo branch of KCU Bank.
Accordingly, the character posters containing the different romance perspectives of Ha Sang-soo (Yoo Yeon Seok), Ahn Soo-young (Moon Ga Young), Park Mi-kyung (Geum Sae Rok), and Jung Jong-hyun (Jung Ga-ram), showing the difference in their understanding are unveiled.
“The Interest Of Love” Lead Stars Evoke Affection In Newly Unveiled Poster
First, Ha Sang-soo’s conflicted expression, as if facing an unexpected variable, draws attention. He, who thinks of love as a constant that maintains a constant value under any condition, not a variable that changes depending on the situation, is at a crossroads between Ahn Soo-young, whom he likes, and Park Mi-kyung, who likes him.
Thus, it draws curiosity about who will have the heart of Ha Sang-soo, who wants unwavering love.
Ahn Soo-young is also in trouble with two men, Ha Sang-soo and Jung Jong-hyun. Both men are looking at her, but she stares into the void with an unfathomable expression. She believes “love is a sandcastle on the beach”. Hence, she can’t give her heart to any of them hastily.
It’s pretty and shiny, but it can collapse in an instant.’ The precarious phrase on her poster suggests her agonizing dilemma.
Next, beaming Park Mi-kyung, who is holding Ha Sang-soo’s arms, draws attention. She has a straightforward instinct to approach the person she wants to make a relationship with. But Ha Sang-soo’s eyes are directed at someone else standing behind her. It gives a foreboding that a change has come to Park Mi-kyung’s steadfast and passionate love for him.
Lastly, Jung Jong-hyun relays how “Love is a debt pretending to be light.” Contrary to his heavy thought of having to pay it off someday, so it’s like a suffocating debt,’ he has a bright smile leaving a baffling impression.
In particular, Ahn Soo-young, who had not even looked at him before, was also caught looking at him, heightening expectations of the puzzling relationship between them.
As such, The Interest of Love shows various perspectives on comprehending love, the most unstable emotion, through character posters containing the various perspectives of the lead cast placed between romance and reality.
Interestingly, if you connect the posters together, you can see the mixed relationship among them at a glance, which is something to look forward to about how the complicated and subtle love lines will flow.
JTBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama The Interest of Love will be broadcast for the first time at 10:30 pm on December 21. International fans can watch it on Netflix.
