JTBC unveils Geum Sae Rok and Jung Ga Ram’s character transformation in The Interest of Love.
JTBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama, The Interest of Love is written by Lee Seo Hyun and Lee Hyun Jung and directed by Cho Young Min. It stars Yoon Yeon Seok (Hospital Playlist), Moon Ga Young (True Beauty), Keum Sae Rok (Youth of May, The Fiery Priest), and Jung Ga Ram (Love Alarm).

The Interest of Love is a melodrama about people with different interests who meet and learn to appreciate each other while exploring the meaning of true love.
Geum Sae Rok as Park Mi Kyung
Park Mi Kyung, played by Geum Sae Rok, is a woman of elegance and grace. In the drama, Mi Kyung is an assistant manager at the KCU Bank in Yeongpo branch. She expresses her feelings openly and honestly without worrying about how others may react. Her character also exudes the aura of a person born with a golden spoon and is naturally adept at interacting with the bank’s VIPs.
However, one relationship works out differently than she wants it to. It would be interesting to watch if she is able to adhere to her instincts when confronted with the first variation in her relationship.
Pictures shared by the production team show Park Mi Kyung adjusting to the changes in her life. Even though she smiles happily with anticipation and excitement, her face is clearly absorbed in her thoughts, as if she were facing an unexpected event. This raises the viewers’ curiosity about the person rattling her formerly confident demeanor.
Geum Sae Rok previously showed her bold charm through various characters, from a rookie detective with grit to a college student who refuses to give in to the injustices of the world. Her transformation to portray Park Mi Kyung’s character going straight toward love is certainly a pivotal point to watch.
In addition, the production team further remarks on the actress’ personality in relation to her character.

Jung Ga Ram as Jeong Jong Hyeon
Jung Ga Ram portrays police officer Jeong Jong Hyeon of KCU Bank. He has a tender look, is kind, and believes that everyone can achieve success if they work hard for it. Despite his lack of material wealth, he is a dedicated young man who works hard during the day and studies diligently at night in the hopes of one day achieving his goals.
Eventually, he develops a new dream of becoming a man suitable for the person he loves. However, the weight of reality settles heavily on his shoulders as he starts to view love as a debt.
The photo of Jong Hyeon released recently has a really kind and caring expression on his face. He may spend his days at the bank or the library, but his thoughts are always on the person who makes his pulse race. It will leave you wondering what happened to make his once burning passion turn into a debt that must be returned.
The Interest of Love will premiere for the first time on December 21 at 10:30 pm.
