“The Midnight Studio” To Pitch Heartening Stories of Memories Captured At The End of One’s Life

The Midnight Studio

Starring Joo Won, Kwon Nara, Yoo In Soo & Eum Moon Suk – this drama tells the story of a feisty photographer who owns a photo studio that services only the dead, and a hot-blooded lawyer who chances upon the mysterious place.

In The Midnight Studio Seo Ki-joo (Joo Won) is a photographer and the 7th owner of a photo studio, which is family-owned
and has been passed down for generations. In this place is the border between life and death, and he takes the portraits of the ghosts who visit the studio.

Han Bom (Kwon Nara) is a hot-blooded lawyer who has a lower tolerance for injustice than ghosts. She chances upon the peculiar studio and ends up in a partnership with Seo Ki-joo.

Seo Ki-joo’s forte is sleeping in chapels. He appears to be a handsome neighborhood idiot or a grumpy unemployed gangster. However, he reveals a different side when the sun goes down, as a ghost photographer who takes the last pictures of the dead. One day, Ki-joo accidentally encounters a ghost in an elevator. As the ghost is struggling due to its anger, the elevator door opens and a woman named Bom appears. Not only does she get on the elevator casually, but the ghost cannot even use any power in front of her.

Ki-joo is convinced that Bom will help him escape from ghosts, and asks to be in a partnership with her. Bom finally learns about the existence of the photo studio and ghosts after sending her grandmother away to Ki-joo’s photo studio.
