High-caliber acting in a thrilling narrative is expected in the new series being brewed by Netflix!
Netflix has confirmed the production of a series based on the legendary webtoon 살인자ㅇ난감 The Murderer’s Toy (LT) and has officially confirmed the casting of Choi Woo Shik, Son Suk Ku and Lee Hee Jun.
The Murderer’s Toy depicts the story of an ordinary man who accidentally starts murder and a detective who pursues him relentlessly. It is based on the webtoon of the same name which gave an unpredictable reversal through shocking storytelling.
In the original webtoon, the story narrates a thief who commits murder by selecting only those who have committed evil deeds. It is a masterpiece that raised the topic of “Crime and Punishment” and won the Korea Content Awards Newcomer Award and other notable manga awards.
Director Lee Chang-hee, who showed an excellent sense of genre with the drama Strangers from Hell and the movie The Lost Night, will orchestrate the series.
In addition, the screenplay will be written by Kim Da-min, who won the Grand Prize in the 2019 Gyeonggi Scenario Planning and Development Feature Category, foretelling a new writing perspective.
The Murderer’s Toy Lead Cast
Playing the main character, Lee Tang is Choi Woo Shik. He is an ordinary college student, who after his first accidental murder, realizes that he has the ability to discern evildoers.
Son Suk Ku takes on the role of a “toy detective” who pursues a murder case committed by Lee Tang. The toy detectives confront each other with animalistic intuition and instinct.
Lee Hee Jun also portrays a former detective tracking Lee Tang.
The Murderer’s Toy is produced by Showbox and Let’s Film, and will be released on Netflix.
