ENA’s new original series, True To Love samples the expected chemistry of the lead stars.
True To Love is a romantic comedy between a man and a woman with opposing beliefs when it comes to dating.
Director Lee Tae Gon helms the production with writer A Kyung and director Seo Min Jung joining him in the creative team. Director Lee is known for dramas Mad For Each Other, Hello My Twenties 1 and 2 and This Is My Love to name a few.
In the drama, Yoo In Na portrays Yeon Bo-ra/Deborah, a dating coach who believes dating requires strategy.
Bora is a self-proclaimed rom-com artisan, a dating influencer for women and a star writer with best-selling love books.
In contrast, Yoon Hyun Min playing the role of Lee Soo-hyuk, a publishing planner, is strongly convinced that dating should be sincere.
Hot as if indifferent, affectionate as if chic, Soo-hyuk is a man who is difficult to love. Even though he seems like a love idealist who says that ‘dating is something you inevitably fall for’, he is a person who doesn’t do anything.
Previously, the series presented character teasers for Yoo In Na, Yoon Hyun Min, Joo Sang Wook and Hwang Chan Sung.
Soo-hyuk and Deborah’s First Meeting
In the meantime, the first meeting between Deborah and Lee Soo-hyuk stimulates curiosity. It is exciting to see them scrutinizing each other from the start. Soo-hyuk holds out his cell phone to get Deborah’s phone number, but his face is somehow disapproving.
The contrasting atmosphere of Deborah and Soo-hyuk caught in the karaoke room is also interesting. The two continue a war of nerves with a fantastic song battle. Passionate Deborah and earnest Soo-hyuk’s exaggerated singing mode evoke laughter.
Thus, attention is drawn to what happened in the first meeting.
Taking turns to recount filming stories, Yoo In Na described her co-star and provided the charming points to anticipate in the series.
“Yoon Hyun-min is a cheerful and caring actor. While filming together, he was able to act with a happy and comfortable mind every day. She also picked ‘magnet’ as a keyword to express the relationship between Deborah and Lee Soo-hyuk, and explained that they are attracted to each other regardless of their will.“
Echoing the same words, Yoon Hyun Min praised his co-star.
“It was the first time I met actress Yoo In Na, and it was a great motivation for me. It was impressive to see her always leading the atmosphere on set with a smile despite her busy schedule. If there is a chance, she is an actress I would like to meet again in other works.“
