Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi reunite in SBS’s new healing romance drama, Us That Year.
Rounding up the main cast are Kim Sung Chul, Roh Jeung Eui, and Park Yeon Woo.
Coming this December, 그 해 우리는 Us That Year (LT) brings us laughter, romance, and healing. Played by well-known actors, the series attracts expectation and the chemistry between them.
The youthful series pilots through rookie director Kim Yoo Jin (Drama Stage Season 4: EP, Hi Dorothy) and writer Lee Na Eun (Falling In Love).
Furthermore, Us That Year is produced by Studio N (True Beauty, Nevertheless) and Super Moon Picture.
The awaited series tells us the story of the re-intertwined and complicated romance of a couple. Because of the couple’s chaotic relationship, they ended it by saying, “It was an awful time with you, and let us never meet again!”
After ten years, the documentary they filmed together attracts attention. With that, the two forcibly meets again.
Fans await the drama series because of Kim Da Mi’s and Choi Woo Shik‘s synergy in “The Witch.”
Unlike their last work together, Da Mi and Woo Shik shows their versatility with Us That Year.
Meet the highly anticipated synergy
Choi Woo Shik as Choi Woong leads the list as an illustrator. He hides from the world and can’t find his meaning in life.
The actor made himself known globally through his performance in Parasite. After his last drama in 2017, Choi Woo Shik feels thrilled to be working again.
He said, “I’m happy and excited to appear in a drama after a long time. It will be more fun to reunite with Kim Da-mi.” With that, he also sent his message to Da Mi, “I want to meet you quickly. Please look forward to it.”
Next on the lead role is actress Kim Da Mi (Itaewon Class). She’ll turn into a realist public relations expert, Gook Yeon Soo. Since she was a student, she always aims to top at every aspect of her life.
But now that she encounters Choi Woong, her old scars open up. Though she tries to adjust to reality with fierce bearing, her wounds hinder those.
Kim Da Mi also sends her excitement for the series. “I’m excited to see you in a drama that can capture the stories of young people. I’m looking forward to having fun with my fellow actors. I will do my best to act,” the actress added.
Other than the two actors, other top-notched actors complete the drama.
Kim Ji Woong, a documentary director, plays through Kim Sung Chul (Arthdal Chronicles). His characters portray loneliness and only see the world through the camera.
Furthermore, he shares his hopes for the series, “It’s a warm and cute script. I’m already looking forward to meeting viewers.”
He adds, “I’ll do my best to prepare you to show you a new look with the role of Kim Ji Woong, so please look forward to it.”
Lastly, Roh Jeong Eui (Kill It) as NJ adds visuals and skills to Us That Year. Choi Woong’s illustrations give comfort to NJ, making her interested in him.
The awaited synergy in Us That Year unveils in the second half of the year.
