Lee Hyeri and Yoo Seung Ho’s synergy in KBS 2TV’s Moonshine unveils this coming December 20.

Traveling back in the late Joseon Dynasty, KBS brings us another anticipated historical drama, MoonshineThe broadcasting station recently announced the first episode to air this December 20. 

The cast of the series also successfully wraps up their table reading with excitement. Lee Hyeri, Yoo Seung Ho, Byeon Woo Seok, and Kang Mina attended the script reading. 

Other actors, such as Choi Won Young, Jang Wang, Im Won Hee, Kim Gi Bang, and Seo Ye Hwa are also seen.

Moonshine tells the story of the growth of young people who share friendship while experiencing love and life. It is set in the background of the late Joseon dynasty when the severe prohibition of alcohol was mandated. 

Threading on the fresh concept about the restriction on alcohol, the series will be drawn from the perspectives of a woman who makes a living through alcohol and an inspector who oversees the alcohol ban.

Nam Young, portrayed by Yoo Seung Ho, is an Inspector General who values principles in his life. He chases down a woman who sells moonshine named Kang Ro Seo (Lee Hyeri). She is an energetic and hardworking daughter who sells alcohol to pay for her mother’s medication, support his brother, and pay their debts. 

Yoo Seung Ho shares why he accepted the role. He stated, “The relationship between the characters is interesting. I think we’re going to have a perfect drama to watch.”

On the other hand, actor Byeon Woo Seok will transform as the Crown Prince, Prince Lee Pyo. He will intertwine with Nam Young and Kang Ro Seo where their lives lie in the secret they discovered.

Furthermore, the younger cast commented that the “seniors are the pillars of our drama,” raising expectations. The production team also stated, “All the actors showed off their perfect chemistry from the start. They will present thrilling and magical fun this winter with the works that they and the former staff filmed with all their heart. I hope you pay a lot of attention to our first broadcast on December 20.”
