MBC announces the new series as part of its celebrated Friday-Saturday drama schedule.
Wonderful World (planned by Kwon Seong-chang/directed by Lee Seung-yeong and Jeong Sang-hee/written by Kim Ji-eun/produced by Samhwa Networks) is a human mystery drama about a woman who personally punished the murderer who killed her son. She uncovers the mysterious secrets surrounding that day.
Director Lee, who was well-received for his immersive and sensuous directing through the dramas Tracer 1 and 2 and Voice 2, and writer Kim, who was loved for his excellent writing and tight plot in Lie After Lie and Cheongdamdong Scandal collaborated for this series
In addition, Kim Nam Joo, who returns to MBC drama after 13 years; Cha Eun Woo, who challenges mystery following romantic comedy and fantasy; Kim Kang Woo, who has fascinated the public with his unrivaled character immersion in each work; and Lim Se Mi who commits to her roles diligently will work together for this project.
In Wonderful World, Kim Nam Joo plays the role of Eun Su-hyun, a psychology professor and famous writer who lives an enviably successful life. Expectations are rising to see how she unfairly loses her young son while enjoying a perfect life and is robbed of hope, ultimately losing everything in an instant as a character who personally punishes the perpetrator.
Cha Eun Woo plays the role of Kwon Seon-yul, a mysterious person who chooses a rough life. He meets Su-hyun and penetrates deep into her life. Behind his good face, he is a person with a secret that makes it impossible to know his true intentions.
Kim Kang Woo plays Kang Su-ho, a successful current anchor and Su-hyun’s husband. He is a person who truly loves his wife and son, but his entire life is shaken after his son’s death.
Lastly, Lim Se Mi plays Han Yu-ri, the CEO of a shop who is also successful in business and is Eun Su-hyun’s close younger sister who thinks of her as family. She comforts the wounded Su-hyun after losing her son.
In this way, the relationship between the four main characters centered around Su-hyun, is expected to provide viewers with a thrilling sense of immersion.
