A Good Day To Be A Dog Episode 8 Highlights
Time is running out for Hae-na as she has a week left to break the curse. Adding to her worry plate is Seo-won’s old bully classmate, Eun-hwan, who was able to dig into her family secret. He uses the information he bought from Yuna’s ex-girlfriend to blackmail Hae-na into giving her and her family members money.
Unhappy and worried, Hae-na skips work and worried Seo-won keeps missing her at school. Learning she’s not feeling well, he left some porridge which Yuna served for her to eat.
Looping the family members to the threat received by Hae-na, they proceed to track Sang-soo and get information about Eun-hwan. Hae-na’s parents together with Woo-taek work together to destroy Eun-hwan’s place where he does his content and also subdues Sang-soo.
Before that, Eun-hwan was confronted by Seo-won but with the help of his minion, Eun-hwan hit Seo-won on the head leading to him lose consciousness.
With his content gone, Eun-hwan uses Seo-won to lure Hae-na back to the abandoned place where he first blackmailed her. He ties her up and prepares for his live broadcast.
Just in time, Seo-won wakes up and encourages his old schoolmate who literally acts like Eun-hwan’s dog to change. He also saves Hae-na when she is about to be harassed by Eun-hwan. When the latter gains consciousness, he is taken care of by Teacher Lee.
Seeing it’s almost time for her to transform, Hae-na escapes the scene but Seo-won follows her. Unable to confess that she can transform into a dog, he reassures her that everything is okay.
Right before his eyes, Hae-na transforms. Remembering all her kindness and concern, it finally dawns on Seo-won what she feels. He kisses her and finally removes her curse.
A Good Day To Be A Dog Episode 8 Musings
Finally! We are guaranteed early seats to fan service witnessing the relationship of Hae-na and Seo-won in the subsequent episodes of A Good Day To Be A Dog.
This episode also unlocks Teacher Lee as a mountain god who put the curse on Hae-na’s ancestor. The question now is when Teacher Lee’s intention would become more clear.
To be honest, this series has a lot of disconnected situations and clues. But the fact that it airs once a week only makes viewers ignore it either because we forgot about it or because we focus more on the romantic development.
In the next six weeks, the narrative would likely move to unravel more of the past connection of the characters and explain its relevance to their current situation.
Hopefully, the drama will give more happiness now that the love line is already established. A little thrilling twist is acceptable, but it would be more appreciated if there were more romantic frosting.
