A Good Day To Be A Dog Episode 5 Highlights

Hae-na and Seo-won get closer from the previous dayouts they had to overcome his dog phobia.

At school, the principal is elated as the video club won a video contest on school bullying.

Oddly, the members of the video club have been bullying one of the members.

That brings out old wounds of Seo-won from when he was bullied before.

“Just because you say you’re okay. It doesn’t mean that you are really okay.”

They try to bring up the issue but the principal is against entertaining the idea especially since the involved students just won the contest about the fight against school bullying.

Seo-won opens up with Hae-na about how he was also a victim of school violence. Empathizing his pain, she tries to give him space to cry but he asks her to stay with him as he pours his heart out.

Helping Seo-won with his goal, Hae-na brings her paws to work and steals the bully’s phone to retrieve the original video of the school violence committed by the video club members.

But the proud bully shows no remorse and lures Seo-won so she can charge him with sexual harassment by setting him up in a video.

Hae-na and her family with Yul help Seo-won not to fall into the trap in time but Hae-na’s dog form separates from her family because the bully chased after her.

Just then, Teacher Lee arrives and serves the bully a dose of her own medicine. The next day, her minions were also punished for cleaning the library.

Running out of time, Hae-na asks Yul if she can sleep at their place once again to try to dispel the curse.

Albeit trying his best to stay awake, Yul eventually dozed off and Hae-na rushed to leave when she woke up.

However, Seo-won calls her thinking that he is his nephew.

Episode 5 of A Good Day To Be A Dog hit two birds with one stone conveying a call-to-action message about the worsening school violence situation while unraveling Seo-won’s wound.

We’ve seen a lot of stories emphasizing the aftermath and emotional scars suffered by the victims of school bullying, and this is one of those numerous attempts to raise awareness.

Speaking of awareness, it’s good that Hae-na is aware that time is running out for her. Hopefully, she can lift the curse soon and form a deeper connection with Seo-won.

Meanwhile, Teacher Lee’s story is still shrouded in mystery. Sometimes, it’s worrisome if it can reach the part where it will be explained in a comprehensible way. Or maybe the once-a-week delivery is making the storytelling flow feel unhurried.

Can Hae-na make a plausible excuse for her appearance at Seo-won’s place? Can we get more romantic development on the school trip?

Support Hae-na as she breaks the curse through the help of Seo-won in A Good Day To Be A Dog. International fans can watch it on Viu!
