Woo-shin is running out of time as presidential elections will happen soon.
Candidate Hwang Byung-chul already held an emergency press conference, stating that he would immediately reintroduce the death penalty in the country once he wins the elections.
And if that happens, Lee Chang-woo will be one of the prisoners who will be executed.
Woo-shin’s eyes started to tremble while remembering her mother’s last words.
“He’s innocent. He’s your biological father. Lee Chang-woo.”
A twist the audience would never expect unravels. Lee Chang-woo is Ha Woo-shin and Song Su-hyun’s father. Now it is clearer than the water what Woo-shin really wants to do.
Aside from helping his stepfather, Song Soon-ho, he also aims to get the Adamas and open the case from 22 years ago to save his biological father.
Luckily, Mr. Choi agreed to work with Woo-shin, but the lieutenant will only use him for his under-cover project to be successful.
Woo-shin and Mr. Choi then secretly plan how they will execute setting the mansion’s fire alarm on, for Woo-shin to know the exact location of Adamas without getting caught.
“It will be your time now.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Kwon meets his son, Hyun-jo, to inform him that Woo-shin and Dong-rim knew about their plan to sell firearms. Hyun-jo suggests getting rid of the two, but the chairman says he can handle the situation.
As they prepare for Haesong’s 80th anniversary, Mr. Kwon told Hyun-jo he plans to retire, so he would now take over the company.
After meeting his son, Mr. Kwon looks back when his other son, Min-jo, rejected his offer to be the heir of Haesong. In the past, Min-jo blatantly said he was ashamed that his father was living like a criminal. Mr. Kwon seems affected by what happened and does not seem to forget his son, who he once adored.
“I should go into the tiger’s den if I want to catch it.”
Inside the prison, reporter Kim Seo-hee visits Lee Chang-woo to tell him that his father only gave false testimony to protect her. But as she informs him that she is working on the case with Su-hyun, Lee Chang-woo gets furious.
Prosecutor Su-hyun got worried after knowing Seo-hee visited Chang-woo as she might put herself in danger.
Just like that, Mr. Lee knew that both Su-hyun and Seo-hee visited the witness, which made him order his people to kill them.
“I found it.”
Back in the Haesong mansion, Woo-shin and Mr. Choi proceed with their plan. They successfully set the fire alarm on and made the employees rush before the firewalls of the house came down.
However, Ms. Kwon said that Ms. Yoon is still inside the mansion.
Woo-shin rushes to the mansion to find Miss Yoon. But actually, she is also safe outside, waiting for the chairman to return. Ms. Kwon fooled him.
As he went inside the chairman’s office, the mansion started to emit gas in response to the alarm. Woo-shin collapsed, and as he looked at the ceiling, he finally saw where the Adamas is.
Adamas Episode 4 Musings
This episode depicts how love can make people go beyond their limits. Love can make us stronger to do the things we never expect. Like, Woo-shin, who went inside the peculiar mansion searching for Adamas. He put himself in danger to find justice for his father in jail.
Su-hyun, on the other hand, also tries to find answers to his stepfather’s death. Even though he is unaware that Lee Chang-woo is his father, we can witness how he cared for Song Soon-ho while he visited Chang-woo in prison. His anger shows how much he loved his stepfather.
Lee Chang-woo also got worried when he learned that Su-hyun was working on the case of Seo-hee’s parents because he knew Su-hyun would be in danger. The fact that Chang-woo keeps on lying that he killed Soon-ho exhibits how protective he is of his sons. As a parent, no one would ever want their children hurt because they love them.
It will be curious when Woo-shin and Su-hyun would know that the man in the composite sketch is Mr. Lee of ARES. Let us hope Woo-shin will get the Adamas soon.
