Waiting outside her house, Kang Tae-mu calls Shin Ha-ri in the morning because he misses her so much. He then suggests that they go on a quick date before heading to work. He also informs Ha-ri that he would wait for her and advises her to take her time getting ready.

Arriving at the restaurant, Tae-mu graciously offers Ha-ri her seat. Considering Tae-mu has some business to attend to, he tells Ha-ri that he wants to have their breakfast together. Telling Ha-ri to wait for him, he acquaints her that he is going to make their meals himself.

After preparing their breakfast, Ha-ri hesitates to touch her food, owing to how beautiful it is to eat. She then asks Tae-mu if she can take photos of it first.

Ha-ri accidentally dropped one of her utensils and tried to get it, but Tae-mu immediately retrieved it for her. He then notices that Ha-ri’s shoes are mismatched.

Admitting her nervousness about why she puts on two different shoes, Tae-mu adorably expresses that Ha-ri keeps cheating since his heart just skipped a beat because she is so cute.

Leaving the restaurant, Ha-ri thinks that they should go separately from there. And, to convey her gratitude for the most lovely morning of her life, Ha-ri gives Tae-mu a kiss on the cheek.

While having an interview along with Min-woo, interviewer Hwang Bo-ra inquires of Ha-ri whether President Kang is truly that handsome, as she has only seen him in photographs.

Finding it difficult to respond to the question, Ha-ri pauses for a moment and is about to tell her that she isn’t sure when Tae-mu interrupts her and informs her that the interviewer continues to ask hard questions. Tae-mu was asked if he would give Ha-ri a bonus after allowing her to ask him a question or two.

Responding affirmatively to the question, he uses it to invite Shin Ha-ri to dinner openly. As an alibi for the other employees who heard him, he continues, Ha-ri was recognized as the MVP at their most recent business field day, and thus got the opportunity to enjoy dinner with him.

Choosing where they would be having their dinner, Ha-ri takes Tae-mu to a Tteokbokki snack bar. She admits that she was taken aback when he asked her out with the other employees listening.

On the other hand, Tae-mu simply tells her that he was just happy to see her after such a long time and asks her whether she was truly unhappy about it. Ha-ri subsequently responds that what she means is that they should be more careful at work.

When the owner inquires as to who she is with, Ha-ri introduces Tae-mu as her boyfriend.

While grilling the meat for them, Tae-mu joins Ha-ri and her colleagues for their team dinner, which makes them uncomfortable. Ms. Kim proposes to President Kang that they each have a bomb shot, given that this is their first team dinner with him.

Imparting that he likes bomb shots, Tae-mu acknowledges her idea and allows Mr. Gye to mix the bomb shot.

Waiting for Ha-ri to finish using the ladies’ restroom, Tae-mu asks if she is doing okay since she appears to have been drinking a lot. Afterwards, he asks her what typically happens when she drinks more alcohol than she consumes.

Ha-ri answers his question with another question. She smiles at him and asks whether his grandfather is still mad about the earlier incident. Tae-mu reassures her that she need not be concerned, as his grandfather would get over it.

Conveying to him how she shouldn’t worry about it, Ha-ri tells Tae-mu that she wants to be loved by the person he loves the most too.

Returning back to the others, Tae-mu discreetly holds Ha-ri’s hands beneath the table. However, Ms. Kim drops her phone on the floor and notices they are both holding hands.

Business Proposal episode 9 brings consistent heart flutters as the official couple starts dating each other, even in secrecy. Kang Tae-mu and Shin Ha-ri brandish a variety of love languages in this chapter.

It involves an act of service in which Tae-mu personally makes breakfast for Ha-ri and then presents her with a gift because her shoes were mismatched.
