Doctor Cha Episode 5 Highlights
Trying to revive Chairman Oh, Jeong-suk accidentally got electrocuted. Seeing his wife lose consciousness, In-ho rushes to carry her which was witnessed by Seung-hee.
The latter did not like it at all so she removed the bracelet In-ho gifted her. It made Jeong-suk think that she was hallucinating about the bracelet she saw before she fainted.
Seung-hee’s annoyance she spitefully channeled to Jeong-suk by giving her endless tasks. While Seung-hee delegates one of the assignments, Jeong-suk lost a patient serving prison time whom she was about to bring for some tests.
Her mistake leads her to despondency.
“Experiencing death made me realize that I needed to live. No matter how crappy life is, living is still better than dying. If I die, it’s only a loss for me.”
Credit to Jeong-suk’s genuine care for Chairman Oh, the rich businessman agrees to do the surgery in the hospital. It was a successful surgery and Jeong-suk was happy that the big underwears she bought for the chairman as a gift will not be used anymore.
Noticing she looked forlorn, Chairman Oh gives advice to his favorite doctor who is doubting her ability as a doctor. It turns out that Chairman Oh had an out-of-body experience when Jeong-suk was reviving her.
He was able to see the true colors of the people surrounding him. That they don’t sincerely care for him.
Just when Jeong-suk already told In-ho her plans to quit, her path is cleared with Chairman Oh’s donation pledge to the hospital. Singling out how he received fantastic and heartfelt patient care courtesy of Jeong-suk, he voiced out his special affection for the doctor who healed him internally.
Rediscovering why she deserved to be a doctor, Jeong-suk presses on to her dreams.
Doctor Cha Episode 5 Musings
Generously serving life pep talks, this episode of Doctor Cha is a healthy reminder that it’s normal to doubt ourselves when we are facing troubles.
Feeling incompetent when a series of problems arise is normal. What’s important is tapping into our core motivation in the goal we aspire to.
Viewers saw Jeong-suk being so strict with herself, not allowing room for opportunities because of the stigma she carries as an old intern.
Nevertheless, her kindness which shone in this episode, reminds us that the basic fuel to bring in any career is how we deal with people. Jeong-suk truly empathizes with Chairman Oh’s pain.
Feeling that genuine care changed Chairman Oh and also becomes a source of encouragement for Jeong-suk.
