Succumbing to La-el’s alluring proposal, Yoon-kyum crossed the point of no return in the latest episode of Eve.
Continuously coaxing the people involving her vengeance ploy, the heroine of Eve plays her cards dauntlessly.

Eve Episode 4 Highlights
Seizing the chance to get closer to Yoon-kyum, La-el gets an outright rejection. Her deep-seated trauma from the villain who caused her family’s downfall affects her nerves immensely.
When Yoon-kyum saw her inflicting physical pain on her body, he graciously offered to help clean the wound. Later, they bump at each other once more at a music store. Cornered to answer a question, she resorts to pushing her luck by inviting Yoon-kyum to engage in a forbidden act.
“Solutions are made to be found. I want to live up to your expectations.”
Convening the parents of Liyan kindergarten to reveal the proposed project, an event to be attended by top-notch personalities is sealed.
All except a politician are not yet filled which made La-el ask So-ra. The latter reveals wanting to invite Seo Eun-pyeong to be on her father’s good side.
Offering to try her luck in inviting Seo Eun-pyeong, So-ra is pleased. La-el calls Eun-pyeong to invite him officially. Politely informing her that he does not do talks, he responds that he will check first his schedule.
After whining to La-el about the stress she got from attending the memorial service observed by Yoon-kyum’s family, they decide to meet up the next day to shop.
Being pressured to give a son to the family, So-ra got petty and intentionally caused an accident to inflict pain on his brother-in-law’s wife.
Getting into an argument with Yoon-kyum, he faintly points out how her age does not help them to conceive. The next day, La-el proposes tango as a solution to her problem.
She suggests doing a dance number with other mothers as part of the program they are preparing for the school.
“Everyone approaches me for a reason. You are no exception. I will find out what it is.”
Totally gaining So-ra’s trust, La-el was asked for what she wished to have and was offered a promotion for her husband.
Just then, Yoon-kyum arrives so La-el expresses her desire to leave. So-ra offers for her to stay some more since her husband is already going to pick her up.
La-el was asked to get wine glasses and waited for Yoon-kyum’s reaction. Just as what she thought, he helps her reach the wine glass, and she locks her hand with his.
Seducing him to follow his desire to kiss her, Yoon-kyum halts and again demands her real intention. He vows to get to the bottom of what’s her game plan.
Unfazed with Yoon-kyum’s dismissive attitude, La-el invites him to see her tango performance. Continuing her seduction assault, she tells him they will have a lone time if he will go there.
“Did you know that dancing is a form of rebellion? People who obey orders don’t dance. I thought you wanted to destroy order. So, you can be newlyweds again and have a son before your sister-in-law. Practice here so you can destroy order and have everything you want.”
Inviting other mothers to the tango practice, La-el introduced their dancing partners. Seo Eun-pyeong also met them at Liyan kindergarten which made So-ra’s father elated.
Eun-pyeong hands some documents to La-el about Yoon-kyum. They learn of his illegitimate son’s status which explains his desire to get the bandoneon. Because the music was said to appease souls who had wrongful deaths.
At the dance practice, La-el reminds So-ra of her goal so she can loosen up and proceed with practicing like the other mothers engrossed with their dance partners.
It truly loosened her up that she called her bodyguard-boy-toy for a quick session.
“The pain will never disappear. So why are you making it worse? You need to stop tormenting yourself even more.”
La-el was asked to bring Da-bi home and she takes the opportunity to look for the ledger.
She learns from Dabi of secret storage inside Yoon-kyum’s study and finds what she’s looking for. However, Yoon-kyum arrives and they rush to leave the storage room. On the brink of being caught, La-el forcedly closes the door.
Holding up the tension, La-el finds Eun-pyeong in front of her studio building. He reiterates how Yoon-kyum is a dangerous man but she politely tells him to leave.
Just when he was about to leave, he sees the scars on her back covered by a tattoo. He remembers the day they found her wounded and asks if the tattoo was because of the scar.
He pleads with her to let go of the pain but she responds that there are some wounds that need to be treated with bigger pain.
Determined to proceed with her plans even if it is dangerous, she refuses to listen to his desperate pleadings.
Eun-pyeong relents to her request but assures her that whatever her plans are, he will be there for her to help and give support.
Meanwhile, after settling Da-bi into her room, Yoon-kyum ponders on La-el’s expression.
Deducing she saw the newspaper clip tucked inside the tango book, he made a decision to attend her show at La Boca.
Yoon-kyum gives La-el a chance to run away and keep her life away from possible complications and dangers. But she crosses the distance and declares she wants him.
Filled with ardor, they share a passionate kiss. Will this really signal the beginning of an affair?
Eve Episode 4 Musings
The 4th episode of Eve gives more details about Yoon-kyum’s family. We learned that his business acumen made his father trust him more than his older brother.
However, whoever can produce a son gets an upper hand on the stocks to be inherited from their father. Thus, making his position unstable.
Additionally, his situation as an illegitimate son makes him so withdrawn from the world. That pain involving his mother’s death has been a lifelong trauma he carries.
Thankfully, the story did not linger averting the connection between Eun-pyeong and La-el. As much as we want to support him, La-el’s conviction no matter how self-destructing it is can only be appeased if she can get the justice she deserves.
Mentioned in the earlier scenes of the series, the concept of “twin flame” resurfaces in this episode. On the horizon, we can look forward if La-el fully committing to the extraordinary connection with Yoon-kyum or proceeding with her initial revenge plan.
After all, the narrative is profoundly showing the similar fates they have. Seo Yea Ji has been nothing but spectacular in her role. Notably, the lead characters are really doing a great job expressing their individual frustrations.
Finally trapping Yoon-kyum in her web of spiteful plans, La-el seems even more determined to execute her plans. Although, we are not sure if Yoon-kyum is really trapped under her allure or just playing along with her.
