Forecasting Love and Weather Episode 3 Key Moments
“Don’t worry I won’t ask you out just because we slept together once.”
The aftermath of sleeping together with her junior at work when she just vowed not to engage with office romance hit Ha-kyung really hard.
All the while, her family thought she was struggling to give up on her cruel ex-lover. Losing her car key, she ends up being late for work and an utter mess in the meeting.
Her team’s new senior forecaster who had vied for her position also advertently did not proceed as he was told in the meeting.
Unable to provide a sound recommendation to the current unstable strong winds inhibiting the affected people with their business, Ha-kyung passes the decision-making to SF Eom to make a judgment.
Sensing the deliberate nonchalant approach of SF Eom, Si-woo challenged his proposition with a logical explanation. Accordingly, Ha-kyung opts to monitor the situation for three hours more.
The decision places KMA’s PR department in a hell-like situation as they proceed with the damage control from various people demanding a definite answer.
Thinking Ha-kyung made the decision to spite him, he confronts his ex-girlfriend who reproached his audacity. Si-woo also backed up his team’s director against the pesky PR officer.
“There are many things that remind me of him. I have to dispose it.”
Meanwhile, after a day’s hell work, Ki-jun goes home to a messy apartment courtesy of Yu-jin. She confronts him of not settling still the apartment she thought to be shared by Ki-jun and Ha-kyung, not knowing her husband does not have any contribution to it at all.
Volunteering to take out the trash that Ki-jun cleaned up, she looks back on how Si-woo has always treated her like a princess, doing the littlest things for her.
As expected, Ha-kyung and Si-woo are in an awkward situation. But he finds himself drawn into taking care of her. He also promises Ha-kyung that he perfectly understood the line she does not want to cross.
Agreeing to meet the buyer of the air purifier she posted on the online marketplace, Ha-kyung gave the apartment address and got surprised to see Si-woo on her doorstep.
Initially canceling the deal, Si-woo found a way to break Ha-kyung’s wall by providing quick training about online selling. Demanding a dinner for the help he gave, she relents and they set forth to find a place to eat.
Si-woo convinces her not to sell the apartment because of the reason that it reminds her of Ki-jun. Just then, their teammates at KMA arrived to also eat dinner.
Rushing to hide, Si-woo helps her escape but Soo-jin already spotted Ha-kyung and gives a baffled expression.
“If we like each other, we can go out. If not, we won’t. So, what are we? What are we to you?”
Outside, Ha-kyung is worried that their office mates discovered they are together which made Si-woo perplexed. He questions her if she has feelings for him since he can’t reconcile what’s wrong with them dining together.
Reminding him of how he promised they won’t date, Si-woo makes a detailed elaboration. Telling her they can’t go out if only one side is willing, he also declared that they can date if they mutually like each other.
Forecasting Love and Weather Episode 3 Musings
We love how empathic our male lead Si-woo is in Forecasting Love and Weather. He knows what to push and what to let go, if only he can extend that spirit to our heroine right away.
This episode elaborated on the idea of the vagueness that arises when a new relationship is blossoming, especially if the previous one was a disappointment. It holds true and stronger on Ha-kyung’s side, who has yet to heal from the heartbreaking relationship.
She has to process a new emotion that excites her. Being an outright rational person who sets and follows rules she made for herself, it’s a tough ride for Si-woo to break that principle.
While assessing her emotions, Ha-kyung also has to toughen up as a new director of an important team at KMA. Her decision-making was challenged by SF Eom who gave her a brutal lesson on being clear with her understanding of her position.
In addition, a rushed relationship that sprang from cheating was also delineated to how it is bound to succumb to a shaky marriage. In the case of Ki-jun and Yu-jin, in terms of being selfish, they totally match. Sooner or later, the reality will hit them, if it was worth leaving their old relationships with a new one.
