Things are not looking good for Professor Yang as the prosecution laid a convincing argument in Law School episode 9.
This week, Law School aired only one episode to give way to the recent 57th Baeksang Arts Awards. Evidently, the sole episode this week is such a cliffhanger as new worries arise for Professor Yang and Ye-seul.

Law School Episode 9 Peak Points
Ye-seul In Distress
Both Ye-seul and Yeong-chang were taken to the hospital. Without regard, Pompous Assemblyman Ko moves to hit Ye-seul, but Joon-hwi and Professor Yang were there to shield Ye-seul. Blaming herself for the accident, Professor Kim assures her that everything will be okay and to go to a sexual assault examination.
Summoning a bunch of lawyers, Assemblyman Ko has made it hard for Ye-seul to get a lawyer to defend her. Later, Yeong-chang survives but half of his body is paralyzed. His father lashes out on the lawyers for not twisting the facts to make Ye-seul suffer.
Seung-jae’s Dishonesty
Professor Kim and Professor Yang have deduced Seung-jae’s perfect A-Plus scores came from his hacking skill. The former tried to convince him to be a witness for Professor Yang since he was there in his office hiding. His statement would surely overturn the case validating his professor’s alibi.
But when he was almost going inside the courthouse, his wife called and he chooses to visit her in the hospital. Learning, he is about to become a father, he decided not to stand as a witness.
A New Evidence
Prosecutor Jin is on a roll. After destroying Ye-seul’s testimony supporting Professor Yang, and presents a piece of strong evidence that Professor Seo might not be hypoglycemic at all. The tricky evidence was accepted by the judge adding another problem for Professor Yang.
Meanwhile, Kang Sol A confronts Assemblyman Go after finding a notarized document of her sister Kang Dan, agreeing to take the side of the politician. Possibly forced by her former evil step-father, she confronts Professor Yang about Lee Man Ho’s tip that Professor Yang spoke with her estranged sister.
Ye-seul’s First Trial
Joon-hwi and Kang Sol A visit Ye-seul to check on her while Professor Kim tries to find a lawyer for her student to no avail. Professor Kim huddles the team to brainstorm Ye-seul’s argument to win her case.
At her first trial, the court session got delayed until Professor Yang walks in and declares, Ye-seul is going for a jury trial.
Law School Episode 9 Musings
From conception to execution of its villains, Law School did a great job delineating the wickedness and shrewdness meters of its antagonists. Consequently, it helps the viewers to sympathize with the protagonists. In a way that we earnestly hope our prayers would move the imaginary mountains. *chuckles
I am still hoping that Seung-jae will do something momentous in the series aside from parading quite an intellect in Medicine, Law, and Information Technology fields. Moreover, I also pray for Ye-seul’s mental strength to be at a normal level, if she cannot rationalize using her law school brains.
Accordingly, the conflicts involving Professor Yang’s murder case evidently will tangle to his goal of getting Assemblyman Go. On that note, I can’t wait how the two cases we are going to monitor from now on would benefit or fall apart the story’s end game.
