Link: Eat, Love, Kill Episodes 13 Highlights
“The past events flashed before my eyes. The person who I really wanted out of my life the most actually disappeared.”
Following when the police officers of Jihwa-dong found Lee Jin-geun’s body in the refrigerator, Da-hyun felt mixed emotions coming to her senses. Despite witnessing that Jin-geun is finally gone in her life, Da-hyun can’t seem to accept her reality.
On the other hand, Lee Eun-jung was glad to hear about Jin-geun’s passing and was relieved that she won’t get her hands dirty. However, she can’t find more reasons to continue living since she’s been living to give justice for her sister’s murder.
After the incident, Eun Gye-hoon clears out his mind by cooking the ingredients they bought that were originally needed for their guest. Da-hyun and her family joined their feast and ‘celebration’ for the recent incident.
Furthermore, to clear their doubts about each other, everyone confessed that they are not the ones who killed Jin-geun.
“I didn’t know you for 20-something years. I’ve only known you only for a few months. But those few months have been more meaningful to me than those 20 years.”
As Noh Da-hyun tried to break up with Gye-hoon from the previous episode, the incident paused their conversation. Nevertheless, Gye-hoon doesn’t want to end the day without sorting their relationship.
After asking her to come to his restaurant, he finally expresses his feelings and explains his side of the story. Gye-hoon knows he will be reminded of his sister when he is with Da-hyun, but his love for her goes beyond his pain.
With that, he firmly tells her that he doesn’t want to break up with her. Moreover, his words made her realize that she doesn’t want to break up with him in the first place and was more determined to face the reality with him.
“Ji Won-tak and I are looking for the culprit who took my sister 18 years ago. And Lee Jin-geun’s killer is probably him from 18 years ago. I’m saying that you got the wrong guy.”
Now that the truth slowly surfaces in Jihwa-dong, Ji Won-tak also gradually wants to reach out to his father. As he walks along the junk shop where Ui-chan usually stays, he saw Police Officer Young-hwan ganging up on him.
With that, he rushes to them and beats Young-hwan. After the fight got sorted, Young-hwan heard that Won-tak might be Ui-chan’s son who left him in Jihwa-dong.
Furthermore, Gye-hoon followed Young-hwan as he walks away from the scene. He continues to try subtly to make him realize that he was accusing the wrong man for more than 18 years.
In addition to this, Bok-hee confessed to Da-Hyun that he killed the man she saw with her daughter on the night she realized that she was missing. With this information, Da-hyun was able to recall more of her memories, revealing that two men captured her and Gye-young.

Nearing its end, Link: Eat, Love, Kill hints that Ji Won-tak and his father will get reconciled sooner or later. Despite putting on a cold expression, Won-tak can’t hide his regrets and how much he wants to correct his mistakes.
Additionally, I hope the series will also give highlights of Eun-jung’s life after finally getting her revenge for her sister. May she find a purpose and more reasons to continue living and leaving her past behind her.
Moreover, I’m glad the Gye-hoon hold on to Da-hyun’s hands and protects their love even though reality tries to separate them. This shows how much Gye-hoon doesn’t want to repeat history and his mistakes of not protecting his loved ones enough.
And now that Young-hoon and the others are anxious that Da-hyun regained her memories, the dangers in her life increase every second.
