Kim So Eun Receives Endearing Treatment From “Happy Together” Male Tenants In “Lonely Enough To Love” Episode 3

Who wouldn’t love to trade places with Kim So Eun for her role in Lonely Enough To Love?

MBC every1’s Lonely Enough To Love takes the concept of people living in a “share house” – building connection, their personal lives also take the spotlight. It stars Kim So Eun, Ji Hyun Woo and Park Geon Il in main leads.

This season, Korean dramas with a narrative of female lead as object of affection by multiple male leads, has been a noticeable trend. It seems this new series follows the bandwagon, but with a delightful amount of flair.

Episode 3 Peak Points

Acknowledging her mistake, Na Eun goes to see Kang Woo to present a peace offering. Surprised to see Hyun Jin’s arrival, the two make do on their living situation. But, Hyun Jin is definitely something strange from the close friend he grew up together with.

Cutely dozing while doing the laundry errand Hyun Jin asked Na Eun to do, Kang Woo gets even more cute trying to use his body to cushion sleepyhead wanna-be novelist. They are even caught in an awkward situation while folding the blanket together. Hyun Jin saw his best friend clumsily landing her lips on his neighbor hyung’s chest.

When Ji Ah (Cha Soo Yeon) asked Na Eun a favor to fill in the slots for a book launch she organized, she dragged Kang Woo and Hyun Jin who initially made plans to play in the water.

Settling well together at the share house, the tenants gather for some great food and makgeolli-making session. Protecting Na Eun for her weak makgeolli tolerance, the boys prevent her from drinking, with Hoon (Gong Chan) even acting as her black knight. Going for another round Na Eun and Kang Woo unluckily lost the game sending them to get more liquor for the party.

Kang Woo’s Daddy Issue

Pictured as a man with limitless supply of seeing the good in every negative thing, Kang Woo behaved likewise after receiving a call. He rushes to the hospital with Na Eun, but had a verbal spat with his brother. Na Eun read between the lines of Kang Woo’s evident not so close family relationship.

However, she over analyzed and tried to coax him to become a bigger person for his father. That made Kang Woo drew a line between them, ,mentioning how she does not know his story.

Na Eun apologized to Kang Woo and tells him how his words have given her strength She offers to do the same for him. With his rage subdued, Kang Woo thanks her for accompanying him at the hospital. Unbeknownst to them, Hyun Jin (Park Geon Il) and Kyung Won (Han Ji Wan) both witness what looks to be an intimate talk between them.

Na Eun’s Writing Break

Finally, a small publishing house offered Na Eun a chance to work together with them. Pressed with time, she looked for her short story drafts to no avail. Thankfully Kang Woo, the psychiatrist who literally can fix anything broken, saves the day.

Takeaway Quotes

“Everyone probably has different reasons living here. But I think I know what they all have in common. We gathered around so we could have a drink together. But in fact, we want to be surrounded by people. Even if our attempt to comfort each other and silence makes us feel awkward. In the end, people are bound to rely to each other.” – Na Eun

“Deep in your heart, there’s a feeling even you don’t know about. And no one knows where that feeling will lead you to. And what you will see at the end of the road.” – Na Eun

Episode 3 Musings

Amidst the pile of K-Dramas I have to watch and write, Lonely Enough To Love surprisingly hooked my subconscious self to prioritize it. Don’t ask the details, I don’t know either. *chuckles The well-narrated episode stories so far, show consistent vibe and the swift moving less than an hour episode definitely helps.

Like how rom-coms should properly behave, it has also begun introducing the blossoming love connection, the looming love triangles and the universal truth that trading places with Kim So Eun in this drama is not a bad idea.

While romantic feeling is not on the top of her to-do list, she is shaping to be a unanimous favorite of the boys in Lovely Enough To Love. Will she prove that successful career and blooming love can go side by side?

Happy Together boys’ eyes are set on Na Eun not knowing that Happy Together girls are also on a one-sided crush with Kang Woo and Hoon. Something that obviously would bring tension in the story.

Hyun Jin realizing the love disguised as friendship moments with Na Eun surely would prompt the love plot to sizzle more.

An easy and breezy watch, Lonely Enough to Love makes a perfect treat to soothe a stressful week.
