My Demon Episodes 9 and 10 Highlights
Choosing peace to protect the people dear to her heart, Do-hee agreed to let go of the inheritance Madam Ju left her. She also affirms her mutual feelings with Gu-won when he surprises her with a heartstopping kiss.
With newfound romance, Gu-won adorably enjoys insignificant activities associated with love. They went on a date and did typical activities shared by a couple. Against Do-hee’s inheritance renouncement, Gu-won supports her decision.
“Sometimes, we bet everything on something without even knowing why. Maybe we only find out why after the journey has ended.”
Over alcohol bottles, Do-hee and Secretary Shin talk about their personal lives and life in general. Gu-won picks up his wife excitedly after she calls him “husband” only to discover her wife is adorably drunk. She requests for piggyback ride and he patiently walks round and round following her wish.
The next day, Gu-won visits the police station to help in sketching the culprit who attacked him. Being the new leader of a gang whose members are determined to please him, he used them to also look for the culprit.
Just as the police find a hit with the sketch, the culprit is also visited by Noh Suk-min, who turns out to be associated with the culprit. Tracking the culprit’s location, they were already late as Suk-min already killed him and dressed the scene as arson.
“The world works in surprisingly imperfect ways. All you do is make your choice and the roulette wheel spins on its own.”
With a blossoming romance with Do-hee, Gu-won starts seeing life beautifully until he realizes the clocks in his place stopped ticking. He heads to see the beggar who seems to know him and reveals that he is dying. The only thing that can save him is the death of the woman he loves.
The beggar who declares to be a god breaks the news that his destruction is imminent and there is no way for him and Do-hee to survive. At that same moment, Ga-young reveals to Suk-hoon the true identity of Gu-won.
A stormy future won’t stop Gu-won to be the sweetest husband for his adoring wife as he prepares for the full moon and possible demise to protect her.
“What makes me scared is a world without you.”
Contemplating his options, Gu-won told Do-hee they would go to Sokcho to try to reverse the tattoo. In reality, he is willing to die for her sake.
He also meets the police to tell them to protect Do-hee.
While planning their trip, Do-hee received a call from Ga-young who learned from Butler Park about Gu-won’s situation. She meets Do-hee to tell her about Gu-won’s sacrifice.
After pondering her options, Do-hee returns to her place and sees her husband waiting for her. They head to Sokcho but even before they reach the place, Do-kyung drives his car and hits Do-hee who is inside a gasoline station’s convenience store.
At the same time, Noh Suk-min is declared the new chairman of his mother’s company. Seok-hun and Ga-young who arrive at the scene witness Gu-won carrying Do-hee as they emerge out of the flames.
My Demon Episodes 9 and 10 Musings
Smartly played, My Demon served a convincing confusion in making viewers believe Do-kyung to be the psychopath in contact with the culprit trying to harm Do-hee and possibly Madam Ju’s murderer. It was actually Suk-min, that Madam Ju chided in one scene. Suk-min’s wife probably knows his evil nature which sadly also manifests in Do-kyung. It would not be surprising for Do-kyung to make a move to harm his father with whom he has a strong grudge.
Pure love saving Do-hee and Gu-won is the sweetest in this week’s episode. With his powers back, can the demon protective of his wife serve the rightful punishment to the real culprit? Or will the anomalous issue from his past human life bring a new concern for him and Do-hee?
Follow how love sweetly blossoms between a devil and a devilish woman in My Demon. International fans can watch it on Netflix.
