My Lovely Liar Episodes 11 and 12 Highlights
After the neighborhood festival, Do-ha and Sol-hee join the other business owners to a small party.
Young-jae who won the grand prize at the music festival show thanks to Do-ha’s piano help gets drunk and pleads endlessly for him to become his mentor.
He even stops a kiss between Sol-hee and Do-ha so they bring him to Do-ha’s place. His brother Ethan, the lead vocalist of a trainee group at J Entertainment, fetched him and Do-ha realized that Ethan once asked him to make a song for their group.
“We’ve found Choi Eom-ji’s body on a mountain near Hakcheon beach.”
Meanwhile, Kang-min and his old colleague Detective Kwak go to the reported skeletons found on the mountain near Hakcheon beach. Detective Kwak finds a ring on the skeleton and keeps it with him.
Apparently, he is in contact with Assemblywoman Jung and is rumored to have received help from her for his daughter’s medical problem per Eom-ho’s claim.
Kang-min who meets with Sol-hee raises a reality of how Do-ha took medicines. She sees through what he is implying about Do-ha’s memory loss.
It’s a big day for Chi-hoon who is all pumped up to watch a movie where Shaon lent her voice for the OST. On his 10th watch, he was initially happy that no audience came up until one came.
He gets annoyed when he hears her sobs and realizes he is in another encounter with his goddess, Shaon. Feeling her pain, he advises her to take a break if needed.
Following Chi-hoon’s advice, Shaon told Deuk-chan of her plan to study music so she could produce her songs.
Finally answering the call from Detective Kwak, Assemblywoman Jung learns that Eom-ji’s body was discovered.
Eom-ho who reunites with his sister of course places the blame on Do-ha. He seeks the reporter for information about Do-ha’s identity as a murder suspect. In return, he gets the address of the villa.
Assemblywoman Choi calls Do-ha for the procedure he has to make since Eom-ji’s body was found.
Meeting Detective Kwak, Do-ha recants his initial alibi supported by Deuk-chan and reveals he left Eom-ji at the beach and he walked aimlessly until he reached his place.
“I’ve hurt people around me. I don’t want to wait for things to get better. I’m sure there’s more that I can do.”
Eom-ho reaches the villa and cuts the light while he waits for Do-ha. When the elevator opens, he stabs the man who came out. Unfortunately, it was not Do-ha but Ethan.
Sol-hee who heard the commotion outside calls for help while Do-ha scuffles with Eom-ho. On the brink of being stabbed, Kang-min arrives to stop Eom-ho.
Thankfully, Ethan survives the surgery. Later, when he was settled in a private room, he revealed to Do-ha that Composer Mu-jin set him up to find dirt on Do-ha in exchange of a spot in a new group debuting.
With news about Do-ha’s identity, Deuk-chan tells the PR team to release a statement that Do-ha is no longer working with J Entertainment.
At the hospital, reporters ambushed Do-ha for an interview and he responded accordingly to the questions.
He later tells Sol-hee his intention to find the real culprit of the case. Kang-min was also alarmed by Eom-ho not to trust the native police officers at Hakcheon and read his notebook to help in the case.
Do-ha searches for Eom-ji’s father at Hakcheon. Worried about him, Sol-hee also travels to Hakcheon to help. They end up at a club run by one of Sol-hee’s clients from the past.
There, they see Jae-chan who asked for more money from Do-ha after losing what he had just recently borrowed from him.
Sol-hee affirms Jae-chan also used to like Eom-ji just as Do-ha spots Eom-ji’s father. Demanding the truth, he asks him if he killed his daughter while Sol-hee is on standby to qualify if he will say the truth.
My Lovely Liar Episodes 11 and 12 Musings
Down to the last four episodes, we expect additional conflicts to arise aside from the main problem running in the story from the start.
If Jae-chan is proven to be the real culprit, it would definitely make a difference to Do-ha’s relationship with Deuk-chan. As the latter’s life is spiraling down, the timing would not be in favor of trusting all the years they’ve worked together.
If indeed it was Eom-ji’s father, it would be a familiar route and would diminish the tension which will not sit well in the momentum of the story.
Either way, two possibilities for Eom-ji’s death are highlighted in this episode and we can’t wait to know what really happened that night. We can’t also deny other possibilities since the series is giving plenty of interesting twists.
Hopefully, Kang-min’s investigation will be of great help to clear Do-ha’s name.
