My Lovely Liar

My Lovely Liar Episodes 9 and 10 Highlights

Previously, Sol-hee rescued Do-ha from his close encounter with Eom-ho, his ex-lover’s brother. Kang-min also learns about her secret and strange ability just as Sol-hee also learns the real reason why he had to break up with her.

“We were each other’s first love. We like each other a lot.”

Inviting Sol-hee to stay the night in his place, they also watch the soccer game of Do-ha’s favorite team.

Finally confessing about his past, Do-ha opens up about how his ex-lover’s obsessive love led to him being a murder suspect.

When Do-ha moves to Seoul to study his ex-lover becomes impossibly jealous and controlling. Later, he gave up and out of frustration also said hurtful things and lies that further triggered her already unstable mental health.

One night, on a beach, he finally hit his tipping point. Always threatening him with suicide, his ex-lover again hurt herself so he had to use his shirt to stop the bleeding. Reaching his limit, he decided to leave her.

Unfortunately, the next day, police interrogate him as the main suspect in a murder. However, he was set free because her body was not found.

At the same moment, Kang-min learns that Do-ha is a murder suspect and he messages Sol-hee to get back at him.

The next day, Do-ha brings Sol-hee out camping after learning about her interest in it. Although both were clumsy setting up the camping experience, they both had a great time together.

“Back then, I thought you were my fate, too.”

After dinner, they sit side by side as Do-ha asks Sol-hee her view about keeping promises. She responds that it is better not to blindly believe promises. It could be true at the time it was said, but it does not mean it won’t change if there are variables to happen along the way.

Later, the mood led them to kiss and confirm each other’s feelings. They went home happily holding each other’s hands.

Unknown to them, Eom-ho follows the reporter’s advice to track Shaon so she can bring him to where Do-ha is. Eom-ho finds an opportunity to bring Shaon to a place and calls Do-ha to strike a deal.

Do-ha is led to a secluded area and is beaten by Eom-ho who is unhappy to see him looking like he never cared for his sister. Remembering Sol-hee’s words that it was not his fault Eom-ji had to take his life. He asserts the idea that it was not his entire responsibility to take care of Eom-ji but also Eom-ho should have done something about it.

Walking away, Eom-ho still can’t acknowledge how Do-ha’s words are true. He takes a knife and just when he is about to stab Do-ha, Kang-min kicks him to the ground.

“The person I love the most right now, is you Sol-hee.”

Out of worry for Sol-hee, Kang-min visited the villa and that’s when he spotted Do-ha. He follows him and listens to the conversation with Eom-ho at a distance.

That’s how he was able to stop the villain from harming Do-ha. But the latter let Eom-ho go when Kang-min chased after him.

Deuk-chan learns from Shaon about what happened and he also hides his unhappiness which Sol-hee did not miss when Do-ha reveals his intention to quit working as a composer. He was worried he might drag the company once his identity came out to the public.

Initially refusing to join a neighborhood fair led by the baker, Sol-he changes her mind and uses it as a venue to bond with Do-ha. Meanwhile, Do-ha’s mother goes for a debate and as expected, she firmly denounces failing as a mother when her son’s case is brought up.

When she visits the neighborhood and sees Do-ha smiling and relaxed, she thankfully goes her own way and lets Do-ha be.

Capping off the festival, Do-ha gave Sol-hee a present which is a ball with the signature of her favorite soccer player. She lies even when the owner says the ball is legit to not break his happiness in finding a gift for her.

They sweetly stare at the fireworks display. Elsewhere, some bones were dug up by a group of men.

My Lovely Liar Episodes 9 and 10 Musings

As the main love line is sealed in this week’s episodes of My Lovely Liar, the long-running mystery is also being hinted to tell the true story of Eom-ji’s death.

It’s also great that Shaon finally finds her sanity back to let the man she loves find his happiness on his own. Kang-min’s acceptance of Sol-hee’s new love is also highlighted in the recent episodes.

We don’t know if Deuk-chan will be really happy with Do-ha’s choice knowing his own problems. Hopefully, he would be more understanding of the situation.

The bones found in the waning moments of episode 10 could point to Eom-ji’s creating a new theory that someone killed her after that unfortunate breakup night. The answer is who killed her?

A couple of scenes featuring Sol-hee’s father also suggest resolving the concerns she has with her family, also reuniting with him at the very least.

Will Sol-hee and Do-ha face problems and unforeseen betrayals in the last three weeks of My Lovely Liar?

Take lessons about trusting someone and overcoming self-doubts with Sol-hee and Do-ha in My Lovely Liar!
