Do-hyeok walks with Nabi on her way home, and sweetly confesses his feelings for her. However, she turns him down because she believes it is not the right time to date again.
Back in Seoul, Jae-eon and Nabi visit a gallery, wherein Jae-eon also describes how he fell in love at first sight in the same gallery before. Meanwhile, Sol confronts Ji-wan about the night of their retreat and also honestly admits her own feelings for Ji-wan.

Nevertheless Episode 8 Key Moments
“But I don’t think this is good timing. I don’t think I can have a good relationship right now.”
Aware of the bad timing while walking Nabi on her way home, Do-hyeok pushes through his plan of confessing his feelings. She starts tearing up and politely turns him down reasoning that it is not a good time for her to be in a relationship.
Do-hyeok asks if it’s because of Jae-eon, and Nabi honestly admits how she ran away to their hometown because of him. However, she clarifies that her rejection means she wants to see Jae-eon again.
Expecting that he will get disappointed, Do-hyeok tells Nabi that a small thing won’t disappoint him, and requests just not to disappoint him even more.
“Relationships? Spending time with someone you love. Eating, drinking, watching movies, talking on the phone.”
Gyu-hyun stays firm with his decision to break up with Bit-na as they talk in the car after returning to Seoul from their retreat. Bit-na spends her time in the computer shop, playing games while waiting for a call or text from Gyu-hyun.
Her old fling whom she calls ”Dimples” sees her in the shop, and she asks him how he defines relationships. For Bit-na, she defines relationships by kissing and having sex with only one person.
Amazed with her definition, “Dimples” helps Bit-na realize why she was dumped by her own boyfriend.
“Right, there’s no such thing as fate. Everything is just a meaningless coincidence.”
Jae-eon and Nabi visit an art gallery, but Nabi appears to be uncomfortable and distracted while they are looking around.
After their time in the exhibition, they visit a cafe and talk. Nabi admits to Jae-eon how she didn’t want to come because of her bad memories of the place. Jae-eon then tells her about how he saw someone beautiful in the gallery before.
He continues to describe the surroundings that day, and how it was fate to meet the girl again after his first encounter with her. However they both conclude that there’s no such thing called fate.
“If you keep looking at it, you’ll see the flaws.”
Troubled with a last minute cancellation of a model, Jae-eon is asked to model for a sketching class in their department. He accepts the offer, and he stares at Nabi while modeling.
After that class, Nabi meets up with Do-hyeok as he brings his cooked food for Nabi. He also shows directly to Nabi his video for his channel, and asks for feedback. Nabi is amazed with how Do-hyeok came all the way to their school just to show her the videos.
Do-hyeok takes a look at the works of Nabi in their workshop, and he praises Nabi’s abilities. Nabi downplays the compliment stating that everyone can do that also.
He asks if she has assistants, and Nabi reveals she already has chosen, but she does not elaborate that Jae-eon is one of them. Upon saying their goodbyes, Nabi becomes determined to never disappoint Do-hyeok. While walking, she receives a message that she is not eligible to become an exchange student, which brings her mood down.
“Because if you did that with no meaning, then you’re hurting me.”
Sol becomes distant with Ji-wan after their retreat. Ji-wan waits in front of Sol’s place, and they talk about the night of their retreat. Ji-wan admits that she remembers what happened that night, and Sol asks Ji-wan if she wants to apologize for that.
She confesses to Ji-wan that she likes her more than friends, and apologizes for that same fact. Ji-wan runs to hug Sol from the back, and tells her that what she did that night was not meaningless. However, Ji-wan tells Sol that she is not sure on how she feels, and leaves.

“Do you want to go see butterflies?”
Nabi passes by the alley where she and Jae-eon stayed before. She reminisces about that night, and sees that Jae-eon is calling her phone. She does not answer her phone, and as she turns back, she sees Jae-eon.
Jae-eon then asks Nabi if she wants to see butterflies.
Nevertheless Episode 8 Musings
Do-hyeok’s confession is really bad timing, and it hurts to see him get rejected after all of his sweet preparations. Although he got rejected, the door is not yet closed for him since Nabi has stated that her rejection didn’t mean she will come back to Jae-eon again. It appears that there is still hope for Do-hyeok even with that polite rejection.
Jae-eon’s description of the girl he saw before in the gallery fits with what happened to Nabi. We are given the idea that he has seen Nabi on the opening day of her ex-boyfriend’s exhibition. However, with Nabi’s reaction, she seems unbothered with what Jae-eon has shared.
Bit-na’s conversation with her old fling about relationships represents the changing view of today’s definition of relationships. Such may vary for every person, and it would take time for two people to be in a relationship if they have opposing views on it, just like Gyu-hyun and Bit-na.
Sol’s confrontation and confession to Ji-wan teach the viewers the impact of the words a person speaks. Ji-wan imparted words to Sol even though she was not sure of her own feelings, and this affects Sol. It’s saddening to see Sol be certain of her own feelings and even apologizing for it. She bravely admits her own feelings, and I believe she shouldn’t apologize for how she feels.
By the end of the episode, we are left with Jae-eon asking Nabi if she wants to see butterflies. Viewers shall look forward to whether Nabi will accept Jae-eon’s offer or not.
Moreover, we shall continue to see how Nabi’s relationship with Do-hyeok would be. Do-hyeok is eager with his feelings, and he sure is trustworthy enough for Nabi. However, again at the end, all of this will be Nabi’s choice.
