Taking on another medical and murder investigation, the Gyesu Clinic unites to free Man-bonk in episode 4 of Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist.
Determined to free one of their family members, Se-poong, Eun-woo, and the rest worked together to prove Man-bok’s innocence. Furthermore, Eun-woo starts her lessons to become a psychiatrist in the fourth episode of Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist.

“I was told where I could find high-quality gastrodiae rhizoma. So, I went there to get some for you.”
Serving his young master, Yoo Se-poong, for many years, Man-bok saw how he achieved his dreams of being one of the best acupuncturists in Hanyang. Seeing Se-poong’s current condition hurts Man-bok, which led him to find a medicine for his hand tremors.
As he was searching for the medicine deep in the woods, Man-bok saw the Lady who visited Gyesu Clinic earlier. Lady Hyo-yeon was with a manservant, and it appears to Man-bok that he is trying to hurt the Lady.
He then tried to protect Lady Hyo-yeon and got into a fight with the manservant. However, Man-bok was hit behind his back and woke to see the corpse of the manservant beside him.
With his hatchet as a piece of evidence to be the murder weapon, Man-bok was found guilty and was next in line in the executions.
“The way to save Man-bok is to get to Lady Hyo-yeon. And there is only one way to get her to speak. It is for me to become a physician who mastered a medical script.”
Treating Man-bok not his servant but as a family, Se-poong was also hurt to see him wrongly accused and alone in jail. Furthermore, he, Lady Eun-woo, and Physician Gye went to Lady Hyo-yeon’s household to gather evidence.
However, it was still difficult for them to check Lady Hyo-yeon’s illness and seek her testimony since her soon-to-be-husband is overprotective.
Eun-woo still got her hopes up as she remembers that a female physician is allowed to check Lady Hyo-yeon’s pulse. As Man-bok’s day of execution nears, Eun-woo is determined to become an expert female physician to find evidence and prove Man-bok’s innocence.
With the guide of Physician Se-poong, Eun-woo studies without a blink and shows excellence. Finally, they were able to enter Lady Hyo-yeon’s household again, and Eun-woo successfully applied all she learned.
In addition, they also got clues from Lady Hyo-yeon and secretly investigated the household for evidence.
“The execution will be carried out between 5 and 7 pm as planned. You must catch him and bring him to me before that.”
To speed up their investigation, the whole Gyesu Family helped Se-poong and Eun-woo to execute their plans. Using their unique talents and skills, they were able to point out the real culprit.
It turns out that Lady Hyo-yeon’s overprotective fiance killed the manservant, Gae-ban, because of jealousy. However, for Lady Hyo-yeon, Gae-ban was her family and a friend whom she knew since she was a kid.
As Se-poong was about to arrest the culprit, he has already fled together with Lady Hyo-yeon. With that, Se-poong lowers her pride and asked Royal Inspector Shin-woo to borrow his horses.
At first, he did not allow Se-poong since he always holds on to his principles. Nevertheless, he remembers how Se-poong hold a proper burial for Gae-ban and allowed him to take his horses.

In this episode, we got to know more about the series’ characters. Also, in every episode, there are new different moral stories and illnesses discussed to educate us, viewers.
The newly introduced character, Lady Namhae, will surely make every episode filled with good food with her amazing cooking skills. Jang-goon continues to surprise us with his cleverness and intelligence at a young age.
On the other hand, Man-bok and Se-poong’s relationship proves that social class should not discriminate against us from considering one as our family. From Se-poong’s past, he shows how scared yet determined he was to save his only family from execution.
Furthermore, Lady Eun-woo also proved that she is also gifted in being a psychiatrist. With Gyesu Clinic having a female physician in the making, Eun-woo will definitely become their advantage.
