Park Seung made a clever move, preventing the plans of the hero of Secret Royal Inspector Joy from revealing his family’s crimes.
But before the “fall” of the Secret Royal Inspector Joy, Ra Yi Eon got to spend time with Kim Jo Yi and cooked for her again. Furthermore, Kim Jo Yi made the right decision and handed the gunpowder transaction log to the inspector.

Secret Royal Inspector Joy Episode 12 Key Moments
The Rainbow Before The Storm
After her conversation with her mother, Kim Jo Yi decides whether to destroy the gunpowder logbook or hand it to the inspector to further investigate it. For her, she wants to protect Deok Bong but also wants to find out if her mother was involved.
Jo Yi quickly changes her mind after throwing away the logbook into the fire. She then reaches out for Yi Eon and gave him the gunpowder transactions.
Before leaving, Yi Eon offers to cook for Jo Yi. She gladly accepts and also helps him with the cooking preparations. Yook Chil and Goo Pal saw that Yi Eon is once again enjoying, leaving the two to have their own quality time together.
After finishing their meals, Yi Eon and Jo Yi stay where they stargazed under the twinkling night. Moreover, Jo Yi teaches the royal inspector different constellations while pointing at them.
Blinded By Power
On the next day, Park Tae Seo, Park Do Soo, Cha Mal Jong, and Ji Maeng Soo’s interrogation started. Ra Yi Eon leads the investigation together with Shim Tae Son, observed by the King.
They first try to get information from Mal Jong and invited Bi Ryung as a witness. From the fear of pain and no escape from the truth, Mal Jong confesses to the crimes he committed.
However, as Mal Jong is about to reveal more information, Park Seung arrived at the scene surprising Yi Eon and Tae Son. They also found out that the King himself freed Park Seung and knew that the King sides with Park Seung.
At that moment, Mal Jong admits to Park Seung’s crimes and that he is involved with him. He reveals evidence that he hid in a pavilion in Hanyang.
Yi Eon then decides to stop the interrogation to gather more proof to take down Park Seung and convinces the King that he is involved with the Crown Prince’s death.
Two guards take Mal Jong to lead them where he hid the evidence. He then realizes that the two guards are sent by Park Seung to take the logbook and execute him.
After this incident, Yi Eon furiously goes to Park Seung’s residence to confront him. However, he is taken aback after finding out that the King might be involved with his son’s death. Park Seung reveals that the King is envious and feels “weak,” thinking that the Crown Prince might surpass his rule.
Secret Royal Inspector Joy Episodes 12 Musings
In this episode, Cha Mal Jong showed his trust and fondness with Park Tae Seo. Even though it’s sad to say goodbye to his character, he finally did something right and helped his friend Tae Seo not to be stepped upon by his father.
Despite his, Tae Seo, and Maeng Soo’s crimes, we witnessed how vulnerable they are with their friends. And now that Tae Seo finally decided to take down Park Seung, his plans do help the royal inspector in stopping Park Seung.
On the other, we got to see more of Kim Jo Yi and Ra Yi Eon’s fluffy and adorable romance. Leaving from their usual comical scenes, the series continues to escalate the thrill without leaving bits of giggling moments that made our hearts warm.
