Park Tae Seo vs Park Do Soo
Going deeper into the mountains, Park Do Soo continued to be frustrated in finding Tae Seo’s mine. His frustration then turned to anger when they stepped on the traps Tae Seo set for Yi Eon.
With that, Do Soo charges in Tae Seo’s hideout and asked him about the silver mining he secretly built. While they were arguing, Tae Seo and Mal Jong recognized Bi Ryung as the inspector’s underling.
Furthermore, Do Soo continues to be furious about Tae Seo and Bi Ryung’s unveiled identity. He proceeds to verbally and personally abuse Tae Seo about their father, Park Seung.
After bringing up their father, Tae Seo attacked Do Soo that started a fight between him and their men. On the other hand, Bi Ryung took the chance to run away, where she bumped into Jo Yi.
Following their fight, Tae Seo bravely returns to their residence, where he confronted his father and releases his feelings. Despite being honest with his feelings and being loyal, Park Seung can’t seem to appreciate Tae Seo’s effort and forsakes him.
The “Resurrection” Of The Secret Royal Inspector
After getting lost on his way to Tae Seo’s mining location, Ra Yi Eon returns to their camp and seeks help from others. However, he was suspected by an official of Hong Seok Gi’s murder and doesn’t believe that he is the real royal inspector.
Kim Jo Yi and Kwang Soon once again heard his arrest and helped him prove his identity and get out of jail. They then managed to get soldiers to accompany them to Tae Seo’s location.
When they arrived at the mine, they saw Tae Seo, Mal Jong, and Do Soo running after Bi Ryung. Without hesitation, Park Tae Seo jumped down and lit the bombs they set up.
Kim Jo Yi and Ra Yi Eon then quickly try to catch Tae Seo and extinguish the fire. Howsoever, the fire traveled rapidly and activated the bombs that “killed” Yi Eon after saving Jo Yi.
As Jo Yi and the other mourn for the inspector’s death, Yi Eon’s grandmother blames herself for forcing his grandson to take the exam. Her memories recalled the reason why Yi Eon also pursued and took the effort to pass the exams.
Yi Eon chose to become an inspector to uncover the Crown Prince’s death and eliminate corrupt officials despite abusing their powers to hide their illegal activities. Moreover, the royal inspector surprised everyone after he showed himself alive in Hanyang.
Secret Royal Inspector Joy Episodes 8 Musings
Park Tae Seo’s emotional and intense scene made the recent episode heartfelt and harrowing. Even though he is an antagonist in the series, I know that many can relate to his story.
With his frightening character, hiding behind the mask is a son and a brother who longs for affection and fair love. Despite feeling heartbroken because of his father, he continues to show respect and control his anger.
I’m anticipating that he will finally free himself from his father and choose a brighter path. Also, with what Do Soo and his father were planning, I hope that Tae Seo will work with the inspector to protect himself and stop their crimes.
Furthermore, the series continues to make me feel fascinated with the royal inspector’s secret plans. Though it’s easy to tell where the story is going, I can’t help to be surprised and excited by the revelations.
