Secret Royal Inspector Joy Episode 9 Key Moments
Like Mother, Like Daughter
After the devastating incident of Ra Yi Eon; Kim Jo Yi, Kwang Soon, and Bi Ryung sail to Hanyang to find Jo Yi’s mother. They then mete a woman who knows her mother, Turukson, and offers to take them to her.
However, the woman trapped the three in a storage room and held them as hostages after finding out about Turukson’s daughter. At that moment, Jo Yi’s mother visited the woman to remind her about the payment for the gun powder.
Rather than giving her payment, she threatens Turukson with her hostage, Jo Yi. Though it seems that her plan is working, Turukson counterattacks by revealing that she has her smuggled rifles.
Turukson then negotiates with the woman where she agrees and releases the three. While trying to be passive and protect her daughter, Jo Yi, the latter feels emotional after finally seeing her mother. Despite that, Turukson continues to refuse and push her daughter away, and sends them off away from the island.
Ra Yi Eon’s First Love
Surviving the explosion, the secret royal inspector has found his way out from the mines by following a butterfly. After he get out of the mines, he saw Park Tae Seo and Park Do Soo’s argument.
With the information he heard, Yi Eon decided to remain “dead” to secretly investigate Tae Seo’s family. He finally completed his investigation and submitted his report to Hanyang.
Still mourning Yi Eon’s death, Yook Chil and Goo Pal were surprised to see and talk with their lord. Not knowing about their grief, Yi Eon continues to the place where he shared about with Jo Yi.
At that same moment, he saw Jo Yi walking on a bridge while she thinks about Yi Eon’s death and her mother. She then realizes that the man smiling in front of her is the royal inspector, which she quickly whole-heartedly hugged.
As they took a stroll in the market, Jo Yi and Yi Eon catch up with each other and finally talk about their feelings. Yook Chil, Goo Pal, Kwang Soon, and Bi Ryung also reunited again with the inspector.
A New Enemy
Moreover, as Yi Eon investigates Tae Seo’s family, he also finds another affiliate with Tae Seo and Mal Jong. The woman she investigates is also the woman who captured Jo Yi and an enemy of Turukson, Kang Han Ki.
She is currently the head of a trading group called Gokdu Training Group. The recent episode showed that she smuggles illegal products and a new lead that can expose more information about the corrupt officials.
Secret Royal Inspector Joy Episodes 9 Musings
Gradually, Ok Taecyeon and Kim Hye Yoon‘s chemistry continues to heighten and grow on me. I also love how slow yet heart-fluttering their scenes are. In addition, viewers are again treated with Taecyeon’s adorable performance in this episode.
On the other hand, the series once again caught my attention with the mysterious past of Jo Yi and her mother. Surely, veteran actress Bae Jong Ok give birth to another unique character after her recent portrayals.
With her role shown, the series hints to the audience that Turuksan is another important character on Secret Royal Inspector Joy. Furthermore, I’m hoping for a more warm and heart-melting scene with the new couple.
