Three old friends and former mountain gods are reunited in the 6th and 7th episodes of Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938.
While dealing with the ghosts from their past, they work together to defeat a skillful demon. However, there are pains that can be shrugged off no matter what.

Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 Episode 6 and 7 Highlights
Surprised to see an old friend who was supposed to be dead, Lee Yeon embraces Moo-young and confirms if he is the red-white masked man.
The two old friends engage in a brawl and it was reported to Hong-joo who pierced them together with her sword.
“What are you going to do? You are the only one who can save him?”
Revealing she knows he is Lee Yeon from a different time, Hong-joo removed her sword. Soon enough Lee Yeon faints and she challenges Moo-young to cure their friend.
Apparently, Moo-young is a genius healer. After bringing Lee Yeon back to life, he speaks with Hong-joo about his plans. The latter also makes a vow to protect her two precious friends.
Meanwhile, Lee Rang and Yeo-hee are getting closer as the former agrees to grant her wishes which she has learned to spend wisely.
Unknown to Hong-joo and Lee Yeon, Moo-young placed a red pouch on top of Myoyeonggak. What Moo-young summoned is in fact Jang San-beom a demon older than the three mountain gods.
While the three friends were out watching a movie and bonding together, the gisaengs together with Eun-ho played a game that can summon ghosts.
It led to Eun-ho being captured by Jang San-beom who particularly likes women. To save the journalist, they play the game again, but Hong-joo was also captured.
Lee Yeon and Moo-young prepare to save the vanished ladies. However, they end up getting transported to Jang Sanbeom’s evil world that he created.
“To bring Hong-joo back from that world, they have to save each other.”
In the imaginary world created by the demon Jang Sanbeom, Hong-joo is a top actress in modern times but does not recognize her friends Lee Yeon and Moo Young.
They go through different kinds of situations that the demon got from their memories. Given an hour to find where Hong-joo, Lee Yeon and Moo Young follow the puffed rice which led them to where their friend is.
Unfortunately, she already became a puppet through the virtual marriage done by Jang Sanbeom. Forced to fight, Hong-joo dominates but her friends try to bring out their memories.
Ultimately, it awakens her and they pierce all their swords into Jang Sanbeom. Pressed with time, they hurry to the door being guarded by Lee Rang. About to be defeated, he was saved by Yeo-hee who used her power to defeat a swarm of demons beating him.
When Lee Yeon sees Moo Young is not behind him, he missed the door’s timing. Later, he discovers his friend claiming the stone that he needed to cure his body.
Aiming to finish off Lee Yeon, Rang arrives to save his brother. But from there, Lee Yeon is left with no choice but to let go of his friend. Unknown to him, Moo-young has messed up Rang’s thoughts by revealing his future death to save his brother.
Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 Episodes 6 and 7 Musings
Revelations abound in these chapters of Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938. While the story explicitly gives Moo-young’s core nature of choosing a second chance over death, his acceptance of Lee Yeon’s action which is driving his vengeful motivation seems weak. Unless there are other details yet to be unraveled.
Unfortunately for Hong-joo, her one and only dream of being together with her best friends stop after the movie date and drink they shared. Inevitably, her urgent concern is her situation of being the mediator between her friends.
From a love high, Rang will confront Moo Young’s words about his fate. What we can look forward actually is this knowledge would somehow alter his life in the future and still live with his brother.
Still abundantly serving us ingeniously imagined side stories that incorporate Korean folklore, the showdown with the Japanese demons is looming.
Whose side will Moo Young be on is somewhat critical. Can his anger be quelled with the power of friendship?
