Love In Contract Episode 8 Highlights

Receiving a confession from Ji-ho, Sang-eun basks in good mood. It even leads to her sudden pastry-making outburst. Inviting Madam Yoo to taste her masterpieces, her bright slightly deflates when the woman who raised her remarked her value is not worth the life she currently lives. Quizzically, she mentions she has to prepare to go back as the heiress of INA Group.

“It seems like you changed a bit Ji-ho. I wonder if you you were always like that and not because you are trying.”

Meeting Ji-ho for their schedule, she tells him to loosen up thinking he feels awkward about his sudden confession previously. But he responds that he does not feel that way and slightly teases her that he remembered everything so he does not need to pretend it did not happen. He adds how he also heard her praise his eyebrows.

Subsequently, Sang-eun helps him on a golf date with his work seniors and receives praise for being attentive to Sang-eun. Their goal is to appear as loving couple, focusing on Ji-ho being adoring to Sang-eun, and he definitely nailed it.

Feeling confident that they reached an already comfortable relationship, Sang-eun tells Ji-ho that she will not stress much about her feelings. It’s better to treat it as it naturally goes because it could be something trivial eventually.

Meanwhile, Hae-jin is being pressured to introduce the girl he’s dating. Of course, he can’t do that because Jamie is definitely not welcome in their family. Gwang-nam is also offered by Hae-jin to work as his bodyguard. He explains his worry about him being gay, but Hae-jin dismisses his inhibition.

“If you tell me not to, I won’t go.”

Suddenly meeting Hae-jin’s mother, Sang-eun got invited for tea on her way to feast on tteokbokki and manga-binge-read with Ji-ho. Doing her best not to put Hae-jin in a bad situation, she left an elegant impression on Hae-jin’s mother’s assistant.

Opening up about her decision to leave, Sang-eun tells Ji-ho that she won’t leave if he asks her to. Smiling at her intentional prank, she tells him that he will be the first to know in case she decides to proceed with her plans.

But then, Ji-ho tells her not to go, surprising and making her smile at the same time. Going home, Sang-eun sees weak-looking Hae-jin and escorts him to the accommodation for his currently being filmed project.

Taking care of him all night because of his mean fever, he wakes up to the sight of Sang-eun happily watching one of his works.

“Don’t be too locked up in the past. You grew up well. Live in the moment.”

Expectedly, Hae-jin and Sang-eun land the viral news as people captured photos of them together. Ji-ho who saw the news felt disheartened after checking on Sang-eun with a text message if she slept well.

Both fully recharged, Hae-jin opens up about his suffocating life as the youngest son of Kang Group. He apologized also for the scare his mom did to Sang-eun. Empathizing his concern, Sang-eun gives him a piece of advice to live in the moment and not be too affected by the past.

Taking her words into action, he stops her from walking away and asks if he can really do what he wants at that moment – and that is to go to her. Sang-eun leaves and gets a call from Ji-ho who is on the way to the hotel where Hae-jin stays. He also clarifies what happened and she feeds him about the event that led her to be with Hae-jin on her rest day.

Waiting for Ji-ho, Sang-eun goes back when the rain suddenly fell. She spots Hae-jin who is talking to Jung Ji-eun, the new lawyer he asked the agency director to get for him. When Hae-jin notices Sang-eun, he approached her and introduces her as his fiancée. Just then, Ji-ho enters the lobby and Ji-eun catches their attention when she remarks that Ji-ho is the man she used to be married.

Love In Contract Episode 8 Musings

Witnessing how the interaction evolved between Ji-ho and Sang-eun in Love In Contract gave us a peek at the dynamics of a relationship where one is innately timid while the other is emotionally intelligent. Definitely, we like the unhurried approach to depict the progression of events leading to the love admittance we expect in the future.

It’s also time to knit our love sweater for the second lead who unfortunately won’t get the love of his life. Now that Ji-ho’s ex-wife is in the mix, imagining his flow of thoughts to assert the love he’s trying to build with Sang-eun really takes the bulk of expectations points.

Love In Contract

Showing immense growth in his character, we love how Ji-ho is really acquainting himself more to social interaction bringing his love problem to their work online forum in anonymous identity. Likewise, we want to give chance to how Hae-jin will fight for his dream girl.

Correspondingly, the second half of the series would deal with more serious issues surrounding the chaebol families involved, Hae-jin’s arrange marriage and a possible scenario of Sang-eun’s job as a single life helper to aid Hae-jin’s intention to escape his family’s controlling nature.

We don’t know yet if Jung-eun will be looped into the current arrangement shared by her ex-husband, new client and Sang-eun. But it sure would make the plot direction more interesting.
