The Killing Vote

The Killing Vote Episode 2 Highlights

After denying Ju-hyun’s suggestion about Professor Kwon’s possible involvement, she still ends up joining the special team tracking the masked man conducting the killing vote.

Mu-chan fails to visit Professor Kwon who refuses to see him.

“I don’t accept anyone who is as crazy as I am. I already cause enough trouble.”

Picking up from the last place where the first “killing vote” victim was found, Mu-chan and his team work on the traces of the masked man.

Ju-hyun and Jo-dan found a clue to a place where the masked man once settled but they needed to delve deeper into the information they got.

Marked as the second target of the “killing vote” is a woman who has married three men and all of them died. In all those deaths, she got billions of payouts. Her new target is a father of two children.

While she was abusing the children, she was taken by the killing vote team. As soon as the woman was declared, the police and cyber team worked together to track her whereabouts.

They find her but a homemade bomb is attached to her. Racing with time, Mu-chan commands her to drive to a nearby school where Ju-hyun’s sister Min studies. Safely arriving at the school, Mu-chan tried to negotiate with the masked man.

Unfortunately, the response he got was the car exploding right before the eyes of the police team on standby.

The Killing Vote Episode 2 Musings

Every corner of The Killing Vote is exciting so far. The heroes are audacious while the villains are crafty. It is also interesting to note that the marked evil people who escaped the law are not just the rich and powerful. Just like the woman in this episode, she is just downright atrocious.

Inferring Mu-chan survived that explosion is absolutely possible given how in the history of K-Dramas, no lead character was killed off just in the second episode.

Introducing new characters like Ji-hoon, a classmate of Min, and giving more details about Min’s teacher, Min-soo who is the son of Min Ji-young prepare the viewers for how the story connects to Seok-joo’s back story.

In its imaginary world, the characters are put in a situation where the life and death of an utterly iniquitous person are worth saving. Interestingly, we viewers, are also put in the same situation.

The extension of the emotion makes the story addicting.

Will Mu-chan survive the explosion? Is Seok-joo part of an elaborate plan aiming for revenge?
