Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 10 Key Moments
“Whatever you do, or no matter what you look like, I’m in love with you for who you are.”
In a phone call with Yu-rim, Hee-do assures Yu-rim that she has no injury, and she just had a bruise.
Writing in her journal, Hee-do appreciates the people in her life such as Yu-rim and Yi-jin. Recalling her conversation with Yi-jin while looking at the rainbow, Hee-do remembers how Yi-jin told her that he loves her regardless of what she is.
Although Hee-do has told Yi-jin that her feelings are not as big as his, Yi-jin still tells her that he loves her. Hearing all those, Hee-do feels happy to the point where she feels she can overcome any obstacle in her life.
Rewatching his interview with Hee-do and Yu-rim, Yi-jin thought of a plan for the two to have the typical teenage experience they are wishing for.
“This kind of hardship is nothing compared to the happiness that I’ve enjoyed.”
Bothered by the recent incident, Yi-jin’s senior reminds him to apologize to Mr. Park after lashing out at him for ordering Hee-do and Yu-rim to do a simultaneous touch for their documentary.
Thinking about their work atmosphere, Yi-jin approaches Mr. Park at the studio to apologize. With all the staff inside the studio, Mr. Park heartily accepts Yi-jin’s apology, and suggests talking outside.
Having no other people around, Mr. Park ridicules Yi-jin, and attributes his behavior to being a high school graduate. After the company dinner, Yi-jin expresses his worries to his senior as people in their company put an emphasis on him being just a high school graduate.
Meanwhile, Yu-rim calls Ji-woong out to meet, and she shares her heart’s burdens with him. Knowing her family has a huge debt, Yu-rim feels burdened to act happy with the gifts from her parents.
“It’s true that we learn a lot of things at school. But one of them is violence.”
Sneaking items to their hangout place in school, Seung-wan, Yu-rim, and Ji-woong catch students from another school stealing their cushions. They successfully retrieve their items back, and return it to the students from their school in the morning.
Despite the heroic deed, Ji-woong gets scolded and hit by their teacher. Hearing all those, Seung-wan comes to save Ji-woong from the teacher by telling him that she asked Ji-woong to accompany her at night.
Finding the situation unfair, Seung-wan shares her thoughts on their educational system in her online radio broadcast, to which Yi-hyun is an active listener.
Overhearing that Hee-do and Yu-rim will be brought on a trip in the weekend, Seung-wan asks Yi-jin to bring her and Ji-woong along also. Although rejected on her first try, Seung-wan’s plans work, making Yi-jin agree to bring her and Ji-woong also on the trip.
“Nothing lasts forever. Everything is momentary. They all flow away. And that’s not always a bad thing.”
Arriving at their destination, Yi-hyun recognizes Seung-wan, and tells her that he is a fan of her radio broadcasts.
Yi-jin gets thrown in the ocean, and they all enjoy their time by the waters. Preparing for their meal, Yi-jin becomes frustrated at how clueless the four are in cooking.
He also gives away the alcohol Seung-wan brought, and orders them to call their parents to inform them that they have arrived. Hearing Ji-woong’s mom on the speaker, they all share their family’s life setup.
Noticing that Seung-wan did not share any, Yi-jin asks Seung-wan about her life, and hears how grateful she is for Ji-woong freeing her from her boring life.
At present, Hee-do’s daughter, Min-chae, expresses her wish to go on a trip like what her mom has done in the past. Replying to her daughter’s request, Hee-do tells her that she does not remember going to the beach with her friends.
Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 10 Musings
Ji-woong and Seung-wan’s characters could be appreciated more in this episode as their life setups are shared. Besides from being characters that bring comedic relief, they are also teenagers who have their own worries.
Seung-wan’s attitude and beliefs are strong even though she is a top student respected by teachers. Being ranked first has its privileges, but Seung-wan makes sure that students are respected regardless of their rank, evident in how she defended Ji-woong.
Her strong will to change the world highlighted in this episode is inspiring. Moreover, her worries are valid and somehow relatable, especially to students who place heavy importance to their academics.
The view of the ocean can bring a refreshing vibe paired with the youth enjoying their time with friends. In addition to that, the warmth in Yi-jin’s eyes may also be appreciated.
Looking at the lines of Hee-do to her daughter at present, possible hints on what happened to them are dropped to viewers. With the buildup of scenes of romance and friendship, we shall look forward to more of its progress in the next episodes.
