Undercover High School Episodes 5 and 6 Highlights
Previously, Hae-seong learned the grandfather’s clock has a twin located in the student council office. To check if the key he holds can be used there, he needs to become a member of the student council. However, it’s no easy feat since he needs to complete a few requirements first.
“I’m proud of you Hae-seong. I knew you can do it.”
Picking up from the last episode, Su-a discovers his team members at the rooftop place they rented. They introduce themselves as coworkers of Hae-seong. Channeling her inner Sherlock, she questions their secretive behavior given Hae-seong’s recent homebound status. The situation escalates comically when Hae-seong feigns a fainting spell, leaving Su-a completely bewildered.
Hae-seong’s ever-supportive team members have sought the help of divine intervention by praying to different gods for him to ace the exam.
Meanwhile, Su-a vents to her friend about the strange clues she’s uncovered about Hae-seong, inadvertently calling his home in a tipsy moment and revealing their proximity as neighbors.
As the midterm results are announced, Hae-seong achieves an impressive 10th place in his class, much to the delight of his team. Yu-jeong also shines, surpassing Ye-na to claim the top spot in the school rankings. Unfortunately, this did not sit well with Chairman Seo’s expectations for her daughter.
For the final challenge to join the Student Council, Hae-seong must earn Ye-na’s approval. The team comes up with bizarre ideas, while Hae-seong opts for a classic approach to winning a woman’s heart. However, it turns out Ye-na had already been considering him, allowing him to secure his spot in the council.
“Hello, Agent Jeong Hae-seong.”
Hae-seong stops by for a brief meet-and-greet with the student council members. Just as he tries to check the clock in the office, Ye-na interrupts him, inviting him to dinner with Yu-jeong.
They gather at a high-end restaurant, where Ye-na wastes no time questioning their closeness. Unable to confirm their familial ties, the situation escalates when Ye-na orders Yu-jeong to buy her stockings, prompting Hae-seong to step in and abruptly end the dinner.
Later, Yu-jeong confesses to Hae-seong that she’s essentially Ye-na’s servant but warns him to stay out of it. Meanwhile, Ye-na meets with Chairwoman Seo, who is well aware of her dinner companions. Coldly, she reminds her daughter not to lose her top position again.
Back at the student council office, Hae-seong attempts once more to check the clock, only to be interrupted again—this time by a mysterious note left by someone who knows his identity.
Figuring out the strange note, Hae-seong receives a phone call from the security guard he and Dong-min saw before. He asks him to meet him at the rooftop at midnight. But just as he arrived, the bell chimes rang and the security guard fell from the rooftop holding a familiar notebook – something that belonged to his father.
In a flashback, the Principal arrives at the rooftop to get Hae-seong’s father’s notebook which the security guard protected with his life. He engaged in a scramble with Hae-seong but escapes the scene to where Chairwoman Seo is.
“Your father’s last mission is the same mission that you have now. Find the golden bars at Byeongmun High School.”
Feeling guilty about his father’s possible loneliness, Hae-seong sinks into his own solitude and decides to take a break. However, snapping out of it, he refocuses on his mission to uncover clues about his father’s disappearance.
After discovering a lead from the student council clock, Hae-seong is confronted by Su-a, who witnessed the security guard’s tragic end that night. She threatens to call the police, prompting Hae-seong to reveal his true identity. He presents her with two choices—cooperate with him or expose the truth and risk imprisonment.
Chief An and the team are shocked to learn that Hae-seong resorted to threats, leading to an immediate order for him to apologize and properly request Su-a’s help. At first, she tells Hae-seong that his request doesn’t get her anything, but realizing the benefit could land her a permanent teaching position, Su-a relented.
Using his father’s notebook as a guide, Hae-seong uncovers the third ghost story of Byeongmun High—about a piano that mysteriously plays by itself in the music room. According to the legend, a student had a secret relationship with the music club president. After becoming pregnant and receiving no support or future plans from him, she tragically took her own life.
Su-a gives him a crucial lead—there’s a grand piano inside the chairwoman’s office. Luckily, an upcoming event will give him the perfect opportunity to sneak in. However, his investigation comes at a cost, as he racks up 20 demerit points for skipping school last time.
“The face of Byeongmun High. The one who gets selected gets 25 merit points.”
Against his will, Hae-seong participates in the competition. But he was stiff as a log during the photoshoot. Su-a has to lighten him up to nail the pictorial. Another Ye-na being rude to Yu-jeong was witnessed by Hae-seong, who of course doesn’t want to tolerate his little cousin’s sister being treated that way.
But his action is not taken well by Yu-jeong. Later, Su-a who witnessed what happened advises him to consider the fact that he’s at school temporarily, but Yu-jeong and the rest are not.
Hae-seong and Su- go for another round of heart-fluttering moment, and will they recognize each other soon?
