Da-jung and Young-do became closer after witnessing an accident in the latest episode of You Are My Spring.
After becoming neighbors in the same building apartment, Da-Jung, and Young-Do’s fate intertwined, and both testified about Chae Jun’s suicide. Even though Da-jung is in a traumatic state, Young-do remained by her side.

You are my Spring Episode 3 Key Moments
“I was so worried. I’m relieved that you are okay. It’s okay to be sad or angry, and none of these is your fault. Hang in there, and everything shall pass. I will be by your side.”
After Da-Jung reported to the police the letter she received from Chae-Jun confessing that he was responsible for three different murder cases, Young-Do waits for her outside the police station.
While Da-Jung walks, Young-do is relieved that somehow Da-Jung is fine. She affirms that everything would be okay, even though all of these are in his thoughts.
“I called them, and I know you probably want to be alone, but that’s not a good idea.”
Driving Da-Jung back to their apartment, Young-Do called Eun-Ha (Kim Ye Won) and Chul-Do (Han Min) to accompany Da-Jung and won’t let her sleep alone.
Making these little efforts, Young-Do kept doing his best to comfort Da-Jung from the traumatic experience.
“Want to go to Gangneung if you’re free?”
Meeting at a coffee shop, Da-jung gives a cold drink to Young-do and asked him if he is free to visit her mother in Gangneung.
Quarreling on whose car they would use, they settle it by playing rock-paper-scissors, and Young-Do won.
While driving, they exchange a series of conversations, with Young-do being on a full psychiatrist mode to soothe Da-Jung’s emotions.
Young-Do is also able to meet Da-Jung’s mother and delivered 30 pizzas to a filming site near the sea.
Da-Jung’s mother pushes Young-Do to the sea that caused him to soak wet. Meanwhile, Da-Jung assisted him, but the waves of the sea also came to her and she also got drenched with water.
With a mysterious smile on the face of Da-Jung’s mother, she took lots of pictures of her daughter with Young-Do.
“It will take some time for you to feel normal again.”
Sitting beside the sea, Young-Do talks to Da-Jung, saying that she would need some time to overcome the trauma she experienced because of Chae-Jun.
Da-Jung releases her emotions and hopes that Chae-Jun isn’t a bad person.
All the while, Young-Do kept affirming her that everything wasn’t her fault. Young-Do felt that maybe Da-Jung thought that she might also be a factor in why did Chae-Jun took his life.
On the other hand, maybe Da-Jung felt guilty of spending time with a murderer.
“A piece of his heart is enough to bring warmth to people who were shivering and to encourage people to live again when they want to die.”
Da-Jung and Young-Do spend some time together on the rooftop. Da-Jung gave a toy to Young-do and extend her thanks for all his efforts in making her feel better.
After giving the toy, Young-Do went back to his clinic and surmises that he might be feeling something special towards Da-Jung.
He claims that he is in trouble because once again, there’s a chance that he might fall in love again.
Ending the episode, Da-Jung is working and went to attend to one of the customer’s concerns. With a shocking face, she saw Chae Jun, walking comfortably in good clothes, showing no traces of an accident.
You Are My Spring Episode 3 Musings
This episode showed that Da-jung and Young-do shared a meaningful time. Even though they only met recently, it seems their souls were meant to comfort each other.
In terms of Da-jung’s experience with spending time with a serial killer, I can say that this is very hard for her. She chose in giving Chae-jun a chance in having a slot on her heart, and it turned out negatively.
In Da-jung’s dark world, Young-do became a light that enlightened her in seeing the good things in life. He gave realistic pieces of advice that made Da-jung rethink her principles in life.
I also felt the characters’ charisma and loved how their relationship started. It showed that certain people find each other in their darkest stage, and still find love along the way.
You Are My Spring gave lots of learnings to its’ viewers and exposed the reality of life in some people. It depicts that all people have their traumas, and they all deserve to heal.
Moreover, I love how Da-jung and Young-do talked beside the sea with the fresh air accompanying them while opening their hearts out. Personally, I find this drama so insightful and also made me understand people more.
Expect that the drama would give us more than what we expected to its’ upcoming episodes.
