Just when Bobby felt faintly swayed because of Da-eun’s confession, Yumi uncovers the truth in the latest episodes of Yumi’s Cells 2.
Meanwhile, someone from the past emerged again into Yumi’s life. This time, Yumi was challenged to make the right choice.

While Yumi is enjoying her victory in becoming a writer, she meets Control Z, who will illustrate her novel. Yumi tries very hard to go along with him but is having a hard time because of his straightforward personality.
To get out of stress, Yumi books a ticket to Jeju island so that she can spend her holiday season with Bobby. Happily riding the plane, she plots everything she wants to do with Bobby.
When she was already at Bobby’s house, she saw two people checking the house. Yumi then discovers that Bobby is moving into another location.
Curious about Bobby’s reason, Yumi calls her and talks to him. Bobby casually reasons out that it’s very hard to commute and wants to pick a house that is nearer to his work.
In the back of Yumi’s mind, she knows that something is happening. There’s a deeper reason why Bobby made that decision. However, she pushes these thoughts and glams up the house with Christmas decorations.
When Yumi goes out to buy a cake, she saw Da-eun looking into Bobby’s house. They talk casually at first, but then Da-eun truthfully talks to Yumi that she confessed to Bobby.
“Bobby, let’s break up”
Yumi’s speculations that Da-eun has something to do with why Bobby wants to rent another house became clearer. When Bobby came home, he saw the lights outside and the cake on the table. However, Yumi is nowhere to be found.
He tries calling Yumi multiple times but she’s not answering. Nervousness slowly creeps into Bobby’s heart. He then gets out and drives to the neighborhood to search for Yumi. Fortunately, he found her sitting quietly inside a cafe.
Yumi straightforwardly asks Bobby again about his reason for renting another place. Bobby answers swiftly again and his answers did not change. However, Yumi knows that Bobby was shaken by Da-eun’s confession.
At first, Bobby doesn’t want to tell the truth to Yumi because he still loves her. He also knows that he was just shaken for a short time. However, Bobby ended up telling the truth, and Yumi’s heart breaks.
Yumi cannot absorb the truth that Bobby became unfaithful that very second. That’s why she breaks up with him. For a small moment, Yumi wants to give Bobby a second chance but her love cell overflows with rage.
“When he was with me, he wasn’t doing well. He’s doing well now. It’s really good for him. He worked very hard”
After their break-up, Yumi went back to Seoul. She also made her writing cell the primary cell. She spends most of her time writing and focusing on her career.
Fortunately, her novel became a hit, and many readers are buying it. She’s also happy that it’s always sold out. On the other hand, Gu-woong found out that Yumi is now a writer and buys boxes of her books.
Yumi’s illustrator, Control Z, happened to have a project with Gu-woong. It’s funny that Control Z knows that Gu-woong is Yumi’s ex-boyfriend.
Control Z, talks to him and informs him that Yumi is now single. Deep inside Gu-woong’s heart, he knows that he still loves Yumi. He thought that maybe this is his chance to date her again.
Yumi’s Cells 2 Episodes 9 & 10 Musings
Yumi’s decision in breaking up with Bobby turned the plot of the drama around. Having an almost perfect relationship, Yumi thought that he found the perfect guy.
However, she knows that she made the right choice. Knowing Yumi, we admire her for choosing what’s best for her regardless if it will be agonizing for her emotionally.
Women should always remember that we should not settle for less or with the bare minimum.
Someone somewhere will treat us the right way. Yumi’s self-love is reflected in her decision and nothing compares to the peace that she had.
However, in the next episodes, her heart will be tested on whether to go back to her old love or to give Bobby another chance.
