Divorce Attorney Shin Series Highlights
Working on Goals and Overcoming Self-Esteem Issues Require Patience and Effort
Featuring interesting characters, Divorce Attorney Shin takes pride in its encouraging note that it’s normal to face problems and commit errors in life.
While Sung-han is a representation of tenacity and diligence in braving the odds to honor his sister and get the chance to show his love by taking care of her son; Seo-jin reminds us that it’s normal to lose ourselves because of a past mistake, but we should not allow it to define our life as a whole.
In this way, the series consistently brings up the importance of being kind and compassionate as well.
Empathetic Life Lessons In Featured Divorce Cases
Admirably, the approach of the series delved into the reality that there are insanely evil-minded people that cannot be warranted to be understood. Most of the divorce cases tackled also paid attention to the aftermath, specifically the impact on the children.
Highlighting the emotional stress children feel with step-parents who are controlling and not nurturing; Ki-yeong’s pain attests to the real truth that divorce will always be painful for the children.
In the case involving a schizophrenic wife who was taken advantage of by her lazy husband, we learned that marriage is not about an evil definition of give-and-take.
Seo-jin’s story also gave a pep talk about what can happen when you are in an unhappy relationship. That the emotional pain might lead to wrong choices.
Strategically Sprinkled Humor
Each week of watching the drama, there are a couple or more moments when viewers are treated to a laughing spree courtesy of the smartly placed funny scenes. Typically, it features the bromance of Sung-han, Hyung-geun and Hyung-sik.
Sometimes other characters chip in their own adorable comical moment as well. Like how ramyun-eating can be irrevocably attractive was shown by Hyung-geun and So-yeon and Attorney Choi’s scene-stealing antics.
In fact, Yeong-ju’s impossible wickedness can lead you to rage and crazy laughter.
Divorce Attorney Shin Series Musings
While this series does not have an elaborate design, the simplicity of the story coupled with the actors’ portrayals of their characters makes the weekly trip to watch it worthwhile.
As the conflict of the narrative escalates, the series smartly knows how not to overwhelm by giving light notes, at the same time providing screen time to the supporting cast.
Moreover, the humor injected can go to sudden outbursts that can truly make you laugh. Then, throughout faint fun and engrossing elements envelop the scenes.
Romance in the 40s is also an interesting highlight of the series. Engrossingly, it captures the essence of comfortable dating between two people in the middle age of their lives.
Correspondingly, there is no wasted character in Divorce Attorney Shin. Even the child actors are given special moments to highlight their potential as actors and the beauty of their respective characters.
Hyun-woo’s push on Seo-jin reminds us to always choose to overcome fears than hold back. Similarly, Ki-yeong’s move to ask for help from someone he trusted asserts the importance of being reliable adults in case some young people or children badly need it.
Remarkably, the series has featured relatable cases that share lessons on how there are marriages worth ending and also worth saving. Additionally, it spotlights how the kindest and most patient people can grow tired of constant emotional pains that should not be part of a marriage.
Given the length of the series, I think fellow viewers felt the closure on Yeong-ju’s character required for a spiteful ending *chuckles. However, since the series took a mellow route, all the punishment we had in our minds would suffice.
