As of July 2, it is also the current highest-grossing Korean movie for 2021, showing how great the anticipation and the excitement of spectators are for its premiere on the big screen. Thus, expectations are now rising regarding its future performance on the following weekends to come.

AN EXTRAORDINARY PLOT

Hard Hit is the brainchild of brilliant director Kim Chang Ju and was based on a Spanish thriller film by Alberto Marini titled Retribution. It specifically tells the story of Seong Gyu (played by Jo Woo Jin), who was the head of a large bank center in Busan. He will then encounter a crisis, while on the way to school, where her daughter, Hye In (Lee Jae In) will take her admission test.

While in the car, Hye In receives a phone call from an unknown caller, whose number is tagged as “restricted,” saying that there is a bomb under her seat and once they stop and get out of the car, it will immediately explode.

Hard Hit is still showing on theaters all over South Korea. Currently, Jo Woo Jin is working on his upcoming drama on Netflix called Suriname, while Ji Chang Wook will play Lee Eul, one of the lead roles in The Sound of Magic. Lee Jae In is starring in the ongoing SBS drama Racket Boys.
